Two folds and Simplicity

This is my third ever entry into the Outlawz Progressive Challenge. Participants are provided with a free digi and encouraged to create a card that features it. I decided to trim the sweet little bird from the background and used it on a bench fold card. There are several tutorials on Pinterest. I used the one from here- thecraftspa.blogspot.com/2017/05/30-high-tide-centre-box-card-u-fold.html The sentiment is a sticker left from my scrapbook stash and the sweet little ladybug is also a scrapbook embellie. I had fun picking out background papers to give the card a bright and cheery look. And the little bird and two flowers provided me the chance to do some coloring (my fourth day of the 30-day Coloring Challenge. Not sure if I'll make all 30 days, but I am off to a good start!)

My second card went together pretty quickly. Since I had my circle dies out, I decided to make a masculine card to enter into the current Power Poppy Round & Round challenge. The gears were made with a new Darice set of dies, and the cute little robots and sentiment are from a wonderful Beccy's Place digi set named "Itty Bitty Bots" (you can find it here- beccysplace.com/itty-bitty-botz-digital-stamps) The background paper is a freebie which I printed off in grey scale (papercraftinspirationsmagazine.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/pin81.free_papers3.pdf

The A2zscrapbooking Monthly Challenge for June is "Monochromatic." Since I chose highly patterned background paper, I kept the layout fairly simple. A sentiment printed off from my computer and a few touches a bling finished it off. Yay!

The robot card you made is awesome, the circles and gears were the perfect accompaniment to the little bots. Love the colour scheme and robot-themed paper.
Your last card is very elegant Kathy, I like your choice of patterns and colour. Keeping it simple was a great idea, I agree that the pattern does all the work on this one. Great job.
