A card for the new Butterfly Challenge "Letter V." This time my card includes all of the options= Colors- 1) Violet (dotted background), 2) Vegas gold and 3) Vermillion (stripes on the tag); Theme- 4) Vertical (the A2 card is arranged on the vertical), 5) Vintage Style (the scrap of music is from a boxful of choir books from my hubby's grandmothers basement. They were copyrighted 1935, plus I added a strip of vintage looking lace,) 6) Vine leaves (on the tag) and Butterfly (times two!) I printed free colored butterfly digis onto vellum and love how they look so real! (You can find them here what-a-beautiful-mess.blogspot.com/2013/04/scraps-of-elegance.html) And the wonderful sentiment is also a free digi that you can find here- desertdiva-hannelie.blogspot.com

The current Simon Says Monday challenge is titled "Transport It." I opted for an unusual form of transportation, namely, via balloons! In order to also enter the card into the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, "Bright and Beautiful" I created the background by making a mask from a couple post-it notes and attaching them to a glossy card base. I then inked a brayer brush (a tool I haven't used for a while) with a Kaleidacolor Pad (another tool that has been gathering dust) and rolled it repeatedly across the glossy card base. Removing the masks, I was able to stamp the Printworks sentiment, inked with the Kaleidacolor Ink Pad. I stamped the cute little bear and balloons from an old Stampin' Up set onto paper scraps, colored, fussy-cut and attached them to the card. The final touch was to punch and attach two red hearts from scrap paper.
