The current mood board at SumMoreFun Challenge is a wonderful photo collage that includes books, watches, eyeglasses and other vintage items. I found a pocket card in my stash that features an antique pocket watch and used a metallic Sharpie pen to add silver to the watch. Cut slits in the top of the watch fob so that I could thread a scrap of brown ribbon through it, then tied that in place with a scrap of thin brown ribbon tied in a bow. Printed a sentiment from my computer, and adhered it to metallic gold paper. Finished the card with patterned background paper and gold photo corners. Entering the card into several challenges including Simon Says Monday Challenge, (since the pocket watch is framed by a dotted border) and Word Art Wednesday (used a bit of life-changing scripture) and one that requires Patterned Paper (Crafty Hazelnuts monthly Challenge!)

When on a business trip in NY last year I picked up a few brochures for Niagara Falls because I wanted to use them on a scrapbook page. Instead, I cut them apart to make two cards. (Because I LOVE to upcycle!) Both feature digi images from Whimsie Doodles, one of my favorite digi stamp companies that sadly closed shop earlier this year. I added sentiments that I printed off on my computer.
This first card features Whimsie Doodles "Sand Dollar Mermaid." The sweet image takes center stage on a Diagonal Gate Fold Card ( first I ever made. Was surprised it was so easy!) Instructions are here- dawnsstampingthoughts.net/2016/10/diagonal-gate-fold-card-video-.html)

Had fun making a delicate card to enter into the current Butterfly Challenge- "Letter M." I included Metallic (silver Spellbinders Medallion die-cut) plus Medium Blue (Butterfly). The Happy Day sentiment and Digi image named Butterfly on ticket are both freebies from maxammadestudio.com) To add a bit more texture I added a satin ribbon and mounted all of these items on an embossed card front. Also entering the card into several challenges including Power Poppy (since the medallion die cut if nicely round!)
