This month’s Sheepski Designs FB Challenge theme is “Christmas is
Coming” and I had fun making my DT card using artist Andrea Norris’
wonderful digi named “Garden Party.” The
adorable Gnome pack (or troupe?) fits so beautifully with this sheet music from the web (and it’s a
freebie!) Even though one of the Gnomies appears to be singing, the rest are
grinning for the camera or trying to be funny with a thumbs-up sign and a Bronx
cheer/raspberry. (Oh well. They are a happy, hairy, and handsome group!)
I’m entering this
card into several challenges including Outlawz Sunday- The Little Christmas Carolers (Gnomes are little, right? And one of them
is maybe actually singing?!), and Path Of Positivity’s- Celebrate
the Simple Things in Life (one of the things that many people might call a simple
thing, but I call it a simply lifesaving thing, is a sense of humor. Next
month my hubby and I celebrate our 45th anniversary. I am so
thankful he is in my life, and that God has given both of us a sense of humor. Over the years we’ve experienced many struggles with chronic health issues, job
losses, and more. But one thing that has helped us survive all that life has
thrown at us is being able to regularly laugh, often so hard that our stomachs
hurt!)
Supplies:
· Sheet Music- I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause HERE
·
Colored with Spectrum
Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·
Puffy Heart Stickers- Stickos
· Inside Sentiment- from
my scrapbook stash, lips cut from an old greeting card
·
All other items from my stash.

For the 10th year, artist/owner, Beccy Muir at Beccy’s Place
is offering her Annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge. Every day in November Beccy provides a theme (most
based on the letters of the alphabet) and invites participants to create cards
for ANY holiday using images from ANY company. And… she offers several
prizes on a daily and weekly basis. So there is no reason not to get involved.
Due to a hectic month, this is only my second card for the challenge
(but I hope to get lots more made and entered over the next few days!) It features an image and sentiment from one of my favorite Beccy’s Place digi sets, Lamb of God. It went together quickly,
with just a bit of coloring and fussy-cutting plus items from my stash. And I
love its beautiful message of LOVE!
Supplies:
· Baby Jesus Digi and inside sentiment - from Beccy’s
Place (Lamb of God)
Available in digital
or clear set
·
Colored with Spectrum
Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
· Front
Sentiment- Taylored Expressions Love Die (appears to be retired)
· Galaxy
paper- Hobby Lobby
·
Other items from my stash.

I was so happy earlier
this year when Power Poppy started offering challenges again. The them for the current
challenge is named “Gold, Silver and Shimmer.” A good friend is a Corgi lover,
so this card will be sent to her this year. I had fun giving this little
fluffy-butted cutie center stage, perched on a Christmas ornament (gold with a
top made from a scrap of metallic paper scored with a paper clip.) The front
sentiment, from Beccy’s Place, seemed to fit with the excited pups' leap. Watch
out Santa… and everyone else within jumping distance!
I’m entering this card
into several challenges including Time Out Challenge-Photo Prompt (my little Corgi
is leaping just like the cute puppies in the photo. So fun!) and Colorful
Options Monthly Challenge- Beautiful Burgundy (the rich burgundy paper behind the Corgi
provides nice contrast to the tans, cream and gold, and the poinsettia petals
are a deep, almost burgundy, shade of red!)
Supplies:
· Digi- Power Poppy Digi Set (Christmas Corgi)
Also available in clear cling set
· Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
· Card Front upcycled from an old Christmas card
·
Gold photo corners available from several web sources (WXJ13 Photo Mounting
Corners)
· Front Sentiment-
“Ready or Not...” from Beccy’s Place Digital set (Here Comes Christmas)
· Inside Sentiment- Power Poppy Digi Set (Christmas Corgi)
· Sparkly Poinsettia Stickers-Hobby Lobby
· Other items from my stash.

A good belly laugh is a cure for many things Kathy, I'm a big believer myself. It may not fix the problem, but it sure makes you feel better, if only for a while. An early congratulations to you and Rich for next year's 45th anniversary, a wonderful milestone.
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas cards are absolutely fantastic! You've coloured them all beautifully, I particularly like the collection of beards on your little gnomes. They clearly take care of themselves.
Cheers,
Beccy
