myasperations 6-1-22

It’s the 1st of the month, so I’m sharing my DT card for QKR Stampede. Stop by the challenge, which is always “Anything Goes” and maybe you’ll be inspired to enter a card or two yourself?
I LOVE this Lacy Butterfly digi that I recently added to my Eureka Stamp collection, especially when enlarged (so it’s lacy beauty takes center stage), printed on vellum, and colored (from the underside of the vellum, first with yellow, then shades of orange were gently layered to add depth.) The final touch was delicate dots with a white gel pen, then bling was added with a top layer of sparkly laminate. I was thrilled to use another one of the envelopes which I picked up in the wedding discount aisle of Hobby Lobby some time ago, especially because the swirls on the flap fit so beautifully with the lacy butterfly wings and flowing lettering on the sentiment!

Supplies:

·   Digi- Eureka Digital Stamp (Lacy Butterfly) Also available in unmounted or cling-mounted

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Sparkly laminate sheets-I’ve had these since 1998 and the company is no longer in business. But if you google “Holographic Adhesive Cold Laminate Overlay” there are dozens of patterns available!

·   Front Sentiment- Freebie from Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine (Hello Spring)

·   Embellishment Stickers- K & Company Flora & Fauna Adhesive Border

·   Black chalkboard envelope, cardstock, and other items from my stash.

·   All other items from my stash.

The yummy-looking sweets on this card were created with a free digi from Scribbles Designs and scraps of plastic index divider sheets in various colors. ( Sometimes called document file folders, these amazing items come in a pack of assorted colors and can be found in the office supply section of most stores. They're translucent, easy to fussy-cut with a sharp pair of scissors, and you can write on them with permanent markers, which is how I traced the candies from the digi onto the plastic!)
Supplies:

·   Digi- Scribbles Designs Freebie (Jujubes) traced onto scraps of plastic index divider sheets

·   Details-with Spectrum Noir Classique markers, Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen and Sharpie black permanent fine-line marker

·   Sentiments- Computer Generated

·   All other items from my stash.

Last fall I won a gift card from a company named Dare2BArtzy and picked out two stamp sets and a wonderful packet of colorful papers. A bit of fussy-cutting helped me create a Valentine’s Day Card from one of the sheets of paper.  The red hearts were cut from scraps of red plastic used on the card posted above (and detailed in that write-up.) I’m adding a picture of another card I created with one of the papers in this pack last year. You can find details HERE.
Card Made in December 2021

·   Floral Embellishments (on branch created from scraps) were fussy-cut from the Dare2BArtzy paper

·   Heart and circle templates- from my scrapbook stash.
