I entered “Origami
Dress” on Pinterest and found lots of options. This template was my favorite
and was easy to use. (One added note, on the score lines you’ll notice letters
to help with the folding: “M” for Mountain and “V” for Valley. Research the folds on the web or use the photo
of my card as your guide.)
I’m entering this card into several challenges Double
D’s Challenge: White with one other color ( I added shades of burgundy as my
other color), Pixie's Snippets (it was fun to use some of the scraps I
know I’ve had in my scraps files since just after a friend and I sold the stamp
store we owned until 2001. So… them be old scraps!)

I had so
much fun creating a card with this wonderful Llama digi from artist Patti Gomez,
especially when I used a few scraps of metallic silver paper and a snarky
sentiment to give her a BIG personality!) I also love that Patti named her Linda.
One of my best friends, named Linda, went to her heavenly mansion last fall
after a five-year struggle with cancer… and she would have loved this card. (I
am thinking I’ll send it to her daughter, who inherited her mom’s sense of
humor and addiction to making cards. I know it will make her smile!)
I’m entering this card into several
challenges, including Incy Wincy
Designs (my card fits into the
floral category, due to the lovely
lei. It also features all the colors in the palette- although it doesn’t show
up in the pic, the centers of the flowers have a dot of light yellow Liquid Pearls);
The Paper Shelter: Flower Power
(Linda is rockin’
that Lei!); and Outlawz: Festive Friday (the
mirrored sunglasses clearly reflect the theme “Summer.” See what I did there? Mirrored…
reflect? Ha!)

I like to make a nice assortment of handmade cards for holidays and other
occasions for wedding gifts and found that I needed some Halloween cards. So, I
made this card, using a sweet image from Digi Doodle Studios (which also fits
into Digi Doodles' current challenge (Boys and Toys) because, Manny is armed
with two popular Halloween “toys", right? A treat holder and lantern! I’m entering this card into several other challenges,
including two that have a masculine theme.
