This is my second
entry into the new Power Poppy “Blossom Challenge” which currently features Spring
flowers. I looked through my Power Poppy stamps and digis and chose one with
Daisies, one of my favorite flowers! (To my friends at Power Poppy- I was born
in southern Iowa and lived there the first 6 years of my life. I remember that
daisies bloomed earlier there than they do here in northern Wisconsin, where
they are just now popping up! So, if they are not considered to be Spring
flowers, please delete my entry!) An added Note- this digi is from a set that
is a FREEBIE, plus right now you can purchase a large number of Spring floral
digi sets at 25% off! So you, too, can join in the fun!

Snippets offered a challenge last week to honor the Queens 70th
Platinum Jubilee. I had fun creating a Crazy Quilt using paper scraps in rich (regal) colors and patterns, plus satin ribbon, and strips of silver and gold trim. A
sweet Corgi (Queen's favorite breed) plus a freebie Jubilee “brad”, sparkly crown stickers and
computer-generated sentiments finish the fun card.
PS For those of you that want to share the excitement of the Jubilee with kids/grandkids, Dover Publishers has released a wonderful paperdoll book. You can find it HERE · Digi- Power Poppy Digi Set (Christmas Corgis) Also available in clear cling set

I wanted to make another card in honor of the Queen's Jubilee and this cute
digi created by my friend Francesca, owner/artist of Cute As A Button Digistamps
works beautifully! The pink and purple balloons
are made with scraps of plastic index divider sheets. (Sometimes called
document file folders, these create additions to card making. They can be found
in the office supply section of most stores, come in a pack of assorted colors,
are translucent, easy to fussy-cut with a sharp pair of scissors, and you can
write on them with permanent markers, which is how I traced the balloons from
the digi onto the plastic!)
· Digi- Cute As A
Button Digital Stamp (I’m Two)
· Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers, Sakura Gelly
Roll white gel pen and Sharpie black permanent fine-line marker
·
Inside Sentiment- TLC Creations Freebie (Party
Like a Princess)
· Sparkly/jeweled
crown stickers from JoAnnes and Hobby Lobby
· Cardstock, pink
dotted paper, and other items from my stash.

I think daisies are spring or summer or anytime flowers! I live in the "almost desert" of eastern California...what passes for spring here is not what I grew up with in Pennsylvania...by a long shot! ;) I love your sweet card! Thanks for playing along in the Blossom Challenge at Power Poppy!
