It’s Friday
and time for the Colour Crazy Challenge. This challenge is also an “Anything
Goes” but it adds a requirement; the creation needs to include coloring in “any
colouring medium you like, onto any project you like, and in any colours you
like.” I’ve never outgrown my love for coloring… which is why making cards is
stress therapy for me!!
This
week's sponsor is Lee Holland Art and my DT card features an adorable digi named Bunny Christmas. I colored
the digi with Spectrum Noir Classique Markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll
white gel pen, then attempting to give the little cutie a “velveteen rabbit” sheen I added
texture to his fur with white colored pencil strokes atop the markers. (But, I’m
not sure that he looks love-worn… or just plain shabby?!)

I made this card to enter into two of my favorite November events, Beccy’s
Place Holiday Cards Challenge and the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. The digi is from a favorite Beccy’s Place set.
I was planning to make a Victorian-looking card so I colored and paper pieced the
stack of teacups in various Victorian shades of red and green and dug a scrap
of an antique paper doily from my stash of vintage ephemera. I couldn’t find the
background paper I wanted, so tried a few options and decided I liked the look of this muted plaid which doesn’t
overwhelm the delicate patterns on the cups. A few sentiments and sparkly Christmas foliage
stickers finish off the card.
I’m entering this card into
several challenges including Outlawz TicTacToe (matching the middle column hot beverage+foilage+red
ribbon.)

When I saw this sweet digi from All Dressed Up I fell in love with the image,
especially the knitted hat. I knew it would be fun to color… and it was. My
trusty white gel pen helped add realism to the cable stitching and puff on the
top of the cap. Add B&W herringbone patterned paper, photo corners and puffy
heart stickers... and I LOVE the way it turned out!
