myasperations 11-1-21

Since it’s the first of the month, I’m sharing my DT card for the November Challenge on the Sheepski Designs Blog. The theme is “Let’s Be Cute” and I think that this sweet digi named Christmas Stocking fits that theme perfectly! I loved coloring this precious scene and especially enjoyed adding all the different patterns and textures with my trusty white gel pen.
Supplies:

·   Digi- Sheepski Designs (Christmas Stocking)

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Front Sentiment- Eureka! Stamps (Believe) Also available in unmounted or cling-mounted

·   Inside sentiment- Birdscards Freebie (Wishing You a Magical Christmas)

·   Pioneer Black Photo corners- available from several sources

·   Cardstock and other items from my stash

Entered into:
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends- #168 Anything Goes
Outlawz Challenge- Festive Friday
Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge- #566 AG
The Paper Shelter- #490 Christmas is Coming
Digi Doodle Studios- #44 Christmas and Winter

The first of the month also means that I get to share a DT card for QKR Stampede. Stop by the challenge, which is always “Anything Goes” and several prizes are awarded. Maybe you’ll be inspired to enter a card or two yourself?
Although my creations usually involve a lot of coloring, fun folds, fussy-cutting, layering and/or embellishments. However, sometimes I like the simplicity of a scripture verse or sentiment atop a scenic background (often upcycled from an old calendar.) That is just what I did to make this beautiful card.
Supplies:

·   Sunset scene- upcycled from an old calendar

·   Front Sentiment- Eureka Digital Stamp (Be Still and Know) Also available in unmounted or cling-mounted

·   Inside Sentiment- Portion of a Eureka Digital Stamp (As You Continually Look)

·   Pioneer Gold Photo corners- available from several sources

·   All other items from my stash.

I want to give my staff a little Thanksgiving treat later this month and came up with this idea using a free template for the Paper Cone.  Some pretty patterned paper, sentiment (I found a package of 10 Thank You notecards for $1 at a local thrift store. They will provide me with enough sentiments for the treat cones, PLUS I'll have extra envelopes and kraft cardstock in A2 size!), embossed leaves, two doilies and the treats to complete the gift. (But I do have to confess that that candy bar in this cone is "empty." I wanted to make sure that this brand, which is new to me, was good enough to share. It was... but I daren't purchase the rest until I am ready to give them away!)
I’m entering this creation into several challenges including Simon Says Wednesday Challenge- Thinking of You and Path Of Positivity Challenge- Be Grateful (I have four of the best staff ever. Over these last few years, with all the COVID-related changes, they worked together to keep our drug prevention programming going in the schools and communities across the county. So, I try to show them how grateful I am to have them on my team by providing them with hand-made items and/or treats from time to time. Thanksgiving is one of the perfect times to do that!)
Supplies:
·   PDF For Treat Cone- Freebie from Graphic Fairy (DIY Vintage Christmas Paper Cones)

·   Leaves- Embossing Arts Stamp (no longer in business)

·   Assorted pigment inks and clear embossing powder.
·   Front Sentiment “Thank You”- cut from a notecard

·   Music Sheet Patterned Paper- Hobby Lobby

·   White and tan doilies from my stash.
