Three Beauties

I love the kitten nestled into this Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital image. Since I’m a reader, I like the entire image.  Colored then layered it atop pieces of embossed cardstock (so I could enter it into the current challenge at Ching-Chou Kuik's) added a freebie sentiment and mini-flower sequins. Ahh… lovely! I am entering this into several challenges including Path Of Positivity Challenge- Furry or Feathery Friends.

I had fun creating with this months Progressive Freebie at Outlawz this month. The digi, from Elena Zinski Art is named Amelia Mermaid Digi Stamp. However, her hairstyle and spunky attitude reminded me of another water lover,  Pippi Longstockings! I found a copy of the original 1945 book cover (now a public domain item) and created a fun sentiment to use with the two images. The toughest part of creating the card was selecting the patterned paper to use behind each of the images. I opted for a vintage striped denim for the 1945 image and a sparkly black/grey/pink striped beauty for the 2020 version. Strips of the papers plus a few puffy heart stickers embellish the inside sentiment.
 Supplies:
·    Digi- Elena Zinski Art (Amelia Mermaid Digi Stamp)
·    Book Cover-Public Domain published in 1945 (Pippi Longstocking)
·    Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·    Sentiments- Computer Generated
·    Assorted background papers from my stash

My final card this posting is a beautiful freebie from Krista Smith. You might recognize the unique style of the artwork since Krista is the artist that created Saturated Canary which she closed in 2016. I recently stumbled upon Krista’s work on a FB site… and was thrilled that she offered several freebies, including this wonderful Thank You for essential workers! You can find it, and others, on the link in the supplies list below. (When you visit the site, scroll down to find the listing of freebies along the right side of the screen. Click “write a thank-you 4/8/20” and a pdf will download that includes this young lady and also a young guy both in masks.) When our Governor requested that masks be worn when in public, a sweet lady sewed masks for all the staff at the agency where I work. (Actually, the seamstress is our Executive Director’s mom!) I created this card, paper piecing the mask, and gathered signatures of staff members, to provide a note to thanks for the generous gift! Am entering this card into several challenges including Double D’s Challenge, Begins with M (for mask.)
Supplies:
·    Digi- Kristal Smith Freebie  (Thank You Mask)
·    Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

Even more FANTASTIC is that you have used one of Ching-Chou Kuik's digital stamps. She is just a cute image especially for anyone that likes to read. That used to be when I was growing up.
