Spring! (Compliments of Beccy’s Place)

I love being a "Contributor" for Beccy Muir at Beccy's Place. It’s fun to receive an invitation every few months to create cards and other paper creations using one of Beccy’s new and not-yet-released digi sets. This set named Easter Joy worked beautifully for an Easter card plus an “I love you” card.

For the Easter card I stamped, colored and fussy-cut the sweet little fluffy duck and set her aside. I then made a variation of a pop-up front-step panel card, using the instructions HERE but just following the first seven steps. I attached the little Duck and one of the sets sentiments. Then, to add a bit of Spring color to the sentiment, I copied another one of the little Ducks and cropped the image down to the flowery headband. I reduced the size so that two of them could drape the sides of the sentiment (check the photo of the card) and then printed two copies.  A bit more coloring and fussy-cutting and they look lovely perched on each side of the sentiment.

·    Image and Sentiments- Beccy's Place Digital Set (Easter Joy)
·    Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

For the second card I stamped, colored and fussy-cut the little bunny and four of the carrots. I couldn’t resist the idea that the little bun was thinking about carrots… hence the thought balloons, which were actually made by cutting clouds from the background paper (pictured.) I added one carrot to the inside sentiment. The final touch was to add a bit of fuzzy texture to his tail with a bit of glue and a few pinched of white flower soft. So cute!

Bugaboo Stamps- April Anything Goes

It’s 50 degrees outside today here in northern Wisconsin, so I have a bit of spring fever. Plus, it’s April and we’ll soon be seeing showers. So I dug through my Beccys Place digis to find the wonderful set named Splish Splash and had fun creatin’! I printed one of the umbrella digis onto rainbow stationery paper, trimmed it into an oval and attached it to a very simple card base by folding a cardstock circle in half and clipping off the ends so it would fit into an A2 envelope. Added one of the sentiments from the digi set and adorned it with a bit of ribbon and some clear blue enamel dots.
