For my DT card, I used a whimsical Sheepski Designs
Digi named “Waiting.” I used an
upcycled calendar page as the background, colored and fussy-cut the sweet image.
I trimmed the wings from the image and replaced them with vellum wings that I lined
with holographic sticker paper. After attaching the finished image to the card
front I added a sprinkling of tiny white flowers with a dot of Buttercup Liquid
Pearls to the center. They look like a breath of Spring! The inside sentiment is
decorated with one cute little puffy heart sticker. I’m entering this card into
a few challenges including Outlawz Thursday (Fairy) and Ching-Chou Kuik’s
Challenge-Animals (this image includes a sweet little squirrel).

I’m enjoying being a DT for Sherry West
Art, and had fun creating a card using her new digi named “Poppi Pokkadott.” You
can find Sherry’s digis in her Etsy shop HERE and completed cards
with this digi on her FB page HERE. I made this card for a friend’s little daughter that loves playing dress-up. So… I added a delicate
black netting petticoat and a sparkly flourish. The final touch was to glue tiny
rhinestones to her earlobes and bracelet.

This weeks challenge features a yummy digi from Patties
Creations named Icecream Truck. One of my
favorite childhood memories of the summer was the sound of the ice cream truck
heading toward our block. My siblings and I would jump to life as the happy tune
called to us, and Mom would dig out a few coins from her purse so we could buy
a cool summer treat. Ahh, sweet memories! (One funny addition to my story is
that we recently bought a new washing machine. The first day we used it I
started laughing when it signaled that the laundry was done by playing a happy
little tune that sounded a lot like that beloved ice cream truck. It almost makes
me want to do the laundry more often. Almost!) I’m entering this card into a
few challenges including Outlaws Monday- Geometric
Shapes (rectangles).

ReplyDeleteWOW! All three cards are just as fun as the other! What stunning coloring Kathy. I haven't been able to learn how to do "hair" yet but you've clearly mastered it. Love them all!
