Honoring Nurses

In honor of Nurses Day which is celebrated on May 6, artist Sherry West has designed this FREE image to honor Nurses for their selfless, dedicated service of care during this time of uncertainty and crisis. It is free to members of Sherry’s FB page. Join HERE to get a copy so you can make cards to honor the HEro’s and SHEro’s that are working the front lines right now.  There are so many people in my life that work (or have worked) in the medical field- my husband, my mom, two sister-in-laws, one brother-in-law, and one of my staff (both of her children are currently in medical school.)  The sentiments upcycled from an old card put my feelings about these amazing people so perfectly into words!

Supplies:

·    Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·    Sentiment on the flap and inside are both upcycled from an old card.

Christmas Crafts All Year Round- Anything Christmas/Winter Holiday

When I found this chocolate bunny washi tape a few months ago, I knew that I wanted to make a card with this adorable image from Whimsie Doodles, a company that is, sadly, no longer in business.  I wanted the card to be really feminine for a little friend of our family, so I used lots of pink, antique lace patterned paper, a scrap lace edging from a paper doily and a pink heart-shaped button. Ahhh, lovely!  I’m entering this card into several challenges including Simon Says Monday Spring Mood Board (the flowers in the antique lace resemble the hyacinth blooms and the card includes several pastels).

Supplies:
·    Digi- Whimsie Doodles “I Love Chocolate Bunnies” (company is no longer in business)
·    Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·    Inside Sentiment- “Spring is in the air” from Beccy’s Place Basic Branches set (retired)
·    Assorted background papers, and heart-shaped button from my stash
·    Square Lace Paper Doily (I just used the edging)- purchased from a local dollar store.
·    Chocolate Bunnies Decorative Tape- Echo Park
