It's Wednesday! So time for another
challenge at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog where challenges are always Anything Goes and prizes are
awarded from one or more sponsors. Stop by the blog to
check it out! The sponsor this week is Little Blue
Button I used an image and sentiments from the digi set named "Happy Birthday Charlie." I colored the
birthday girl with Spectrum Noir markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel
pen. The colorful balloons are made with scraps of several plastic
document folders. They come in a pack of assorted colors and can be found in
the office supply section of most stores. I really like using them on my cards
because they're often cheaper than colored vellum and are more
translucent. You can write on them with a fine-line permanent marker
[which I used to trace the balloons. Sometimes I trim the marker lines when cutting
them out. This time I left the outline to help the balloons stand out. The
plastic is easy to fussy-cut with a nice, sharp pair of scissors].

Sweet Summertime challenge features the adorable image, "Special Day
Ted." I colored him with Spectrum Noir markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll
white gel pen then adhered him atop the patterned paper and a rectangle of
vellum. The sentiment is a freebie from Create With TLC Blogspot. You can find
it HERE. I am entering this card into several
challenges including A2Z scrapbooking, adding a nice layer of glitter to Ted's
hat to make him sparkle a bit when watching fireworks.
