Coffee Lover

My third card for the 2018 Fall | Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop uses an adorable image named "Dream" from Little Blue Button Stamps. The cutie in the image is named Charlie. I colored her with Spectrum Noir, fussy-cut and attached her to a Z-fold card. [You can find the card template there- papercraftinspirationsmagazine.co.uk/category/how-to/z-fold-card.htm]  The sentiments are computer generated. Am entering the card into other challenges including CAS-ual Fridays' "Shades of Gold"  [the base of the card is made with a frosted gold cardstock, layered with gold striped paper, and includes wonderful metallic gold border stickers.]

I used a wonderful image from The Paper Shelter [TPS] named "Holiday Shopper" to make my next card.  Colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and white gel pen, fussy-cut it and set it aside. Because I wanted to make a Christmas scene, I looked for a free photo image on the web that would work. Found one from the Office du tourisme de Québec [www.quebecregion.com/en/what-to-do/activities-attractions/ideas/holiday-season] that provided the mood that I wanted. Printed it off in greyscale and adhered it to the front of a 5x7 sized card front. My colored image didn't stand out enough, so I cut an oval from vellum which provided the layering that was needed. The front sentiment is from a Lili of the Valley digi set named "Christmas Wishes" and the inside sentiment is a freebie from TLC Creations (createwithtlc.blogspot.com)
Am entering the card into several challenges including the current challenge at [TPS] called "Snow Days" [I added snowflakes onto the background photo and vellum with white craft ink. You can see them in the closeup photo], A2z Scrapbooking "Winter Wonderland" [snowflakes], and the Cutie Pie Challenge "Winter Layers" [the scene has layers of snow and the shopper is wearing layers of clothing] and Colour Crazy Challenge [because my image is NOT precolored. I also thought it was appropriate to enter a challenge that includes the Canadian spelling of "colour" because the wonderful background photo is from Quebec!]

My final card this posting was created for the annual Bugaboo Stamps Holiday Chaos week, Day 2 challenge- Sketch. When looking for a trio of images that I could use, these cute little elves from Maria Mendel Illustrations jumped up and asked to be included. How could I say no? [They are from a digi set named "Funny Elves".] The strip of translucent green behind the three elves is made from a piece of plastic document folder.  [If you follow my blog you'll see that I use these often on my cards. You can find them in office supply stores. They come in a pack of assorted colors, are easy to fussy-cut with a nice, sharp pair of scissors and are translucent like colored vellum and cheaper than vellum.] The sentiment on the front of the card was stamped with black pigment ink and embossed with black embossing powder that contains a bit of multicolored glitter. [I added a closeup photo that might help to make it visible. If not... trust me, there is a little bit o' bling.] The stamp is unmounted, from an unknown company. The inside sentiment is a favorite freebie- I use it a LOT-from TLC Creations (createwithtlc.blogspot.com) I  stamped another Merry Christmas sentiment, fussy-cutting the holly to decorate the inside, too.
