Purrfect Cards

The first digis I ever used were from Dearie Dolls, and after about six years of drawing kiddos, grandparents, chefs, critters and more Mary Ellen Smith retired in March 2018. However, her creativity will live on in cards and scrapbooks across the world. I used one of her cute depictions of life's special moments in my card [freedeariedollsdigistamps.blogspot.com/2017/07/first-pumpkin-latte-of-season.html] Now, I need to go and freshen up my coffee.

There are lots of Halloween challenges going on right now. I decided to make a card using a design that I created for a scrapbook page years ago. Wanted to use up some bright green paper and Frankie seemed like the perfect solution. I especially loved making his 3-D face by adding a strip of foam tape behind that massive forehead. The sentiment is computer generated.

I've had this wood mount stamp from a Stampin' Up set for about three decades. Haven't used it for a while, but wanted to make a Christmas card in non-trad colors for the current CAS-ual Friday's Challenge. The sentiments are from a Beccy's Place set named "Blessings of the Season."

I just stumbled upon a challenge that is new to me called "Cat Lovers Hop." Dug out a fun All Night Media cat stamp to create a get-well card that will be sent to a cat-lovin friend who's been having some health issues. Inked up and stamped just the bottom portion of the image, then fussy-cut the daring feline and attached him to the card. The can of spilled paint is an unmounted rubber stamp available from StampOnIt [stamponit.net/spilled-paint-unmounted-stamp-bi-32114] And I don't have a clue who makes the little paw prints as I removed them from the wood mount years ago.  The sentiment is computer generated.

  1. I love how you show both the outside and inside of your cards. Sometimes I only work on the outside and then scramble to finish the inside at a later date. The little paw prints are so sweet.
