Nim the Bat

I don't like bats, so am not sure why I think this card is kinda cute. Maybe it's because all of the digis used on this card are freebies? The template was actually for a candy holder [uselesstrinkets.files.wordpress.com/2016/10/useless-trinkets-nim-the-bat-candy-hugger-freebie-by-jessa-feig.pdf] but I instead decided to attach Nim the Bat to a card, hanging upside down, of course! There is a sentiment tucked inside of his wings [found here uselesstrinkets.wordpress.com/freebies/creepies], inside the card is a Happy Halloween sentiment [birdscards.com/teenween-card-first-posted-thursday-october-29-2009] and a small EEEK printed on vellum is from TLC Creations [createwithtlc.blogspot.com]
I did add small squares of stick-on magnets to his wings to hold them closed and the background image is a freebie from createwithtlc.blogspot.com that I printed off in grey scale then covered with vellum so that it didn't overwhelm Nim.

Another card for the Butterfly Challenge. This one features a beautiful floral arrangement from Bugaboo Stamps named, appropriately, "Tulip Jar." The card includes all three colors for the current challenge- scarlet [tulip], sea green [butterfly] and sand [background paper] and includes one theme- spots [on banners, ribbon and small puffy heart.] I loved using the Sketch Saturday layouts as they save me time in not having to experiment with moving the card pieces around. For this card, I chose Sketch #374. The sentiment on the inside of the card was a recent freebie from the Gerda Steiner newsletter.

Sum More Fun has a new challenge… and it's a good one- weddings.  I followed the title on the mood board as my challenge, with the Mr & Mrs sentiment highlighting the front of the card. Was fun to use some love script background paper, and a set of rose stamps from Hero Arts to add some color to my card.
