Happy Days

It's Wednesday! So time for another challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge Blog.  Penny's challenges are always Anything Goes and prizes are awarded from one or more sponsors.  Stop by the blog to check it out! (pennyschallenges.blogspot.com)
This week, I made a card with a cute image from an artist that is new to me, Hetty Clare. [You can see her adorable images here- www.etsy.com/shop/HettyClare] I used an old Wisconsin map as my base, colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers, and added a sentiment from and an Imagine That set of airplane related digis [www.imaginethatdigistamp.com/store/p196/Airplanes.html]

I recently discovered that Stamplorations has several great mugs available on their site that are freebies. I had fun using one of them [you can find it here- stamplorations.blogspot.com/2017/09/fall-coffee-lovers-hop-and-stamplorations.html] to make a card for the new Mod Squad challenge called "Fall Beverage." When I saw the mug sweater on the image I decided that I wanted to duplicate that with real fabric. Found a pile of narrow knitted wool ties that my husband tried to throw away several years ago [gasp], pulled a few mini-buttons from my stash and got to work. I attached the mug to the card front with foam tape. Used an Exacto knife to cut out the jack-o-lantern face then used foam tape to attach the white cardstock with the image onto a square of yellow cardstock that was positioned behind the face to add some depth and "light" it up. The inside sentiment is from a Verve digi set named "Coffee Please." I used a retired wood mount stamp from Embossing Arts to make the leaf on the inside of the card. After a bit of fussy cutting, it adds the perfect touch to the sentiment.

The current challenge at Bugaboo is titled "Cowboys and Cowgirls." I used a cute Bugaboo image named "Cowboy Fence" and the current Creative Confetti Sketch at Power Poppy to make my card. Circle dies simplified the process and a scrap of twine "rope" added a bit of cowboy realism to the card. The sentiment is handwritten.

A few months ago I joined the DT at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge and the first card that I made was using an image from Time for Tea, which was a new company to me. I fell in love with their adorable image named "Baker Girl" so was excited to recently stumble upon the Time for Tea FB page. The artist/owner of Time for Tea, Jo Davies, has many wonderful images. (You can find her here- https://www.etsy.com/shop/TimeforTeaDesigns)  One reason I love using digis is that you can print them off in any size you like. I'm providing a watermarked image of the digi to show you what the entire image looks like. I used Spectrum Noir markers to color the sweet image, mounted it onto some plaid print paper and added a computer generated sentiment on the front and inside.  The cute little gingerbread people on the inside of the card are from a Power Poppy set named "Gingerbread Family." [I'm sharing a watermarked image of the 12 piece digi set because it is a good deal at just $5. You can find it  here- https://powerpoppy.com/products/gingerbread-family]

  10. Cards here are super duper cute. We are so blessed you link your artwork with us last Challenge at Word Art Wednesday. There still a few days left for you to join us again in our current Challenge. Leaving you with the inspiration of the Scripture in 1 Thessalonians 2:13 which says, "And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe." Have a blessed day!
