Fall Fun

Another card for the Recipe challenge at Bugaboo that requires 1 ribbon, 2 images and 3 buttons. I used the cute little witch from the Bugaboo  set "Mini Cutesy Halloween Blocks" plus used a freebie Happy Halloween image that I cut into two sections to fit on the card front [you can find it here-] The inside sentiment is computer generated, and the little bat is fussy cut by hand from a scrap.

My final card for the current Butterfly Challenge features all three colors [Scarlet, Sea Green, Sahara Sand] and all three themes [spots, sequins and silhouettes of leaves/vines]. The butterfly that takes center stage is a die cut butterfly [not sure of the brand. Made them when making cards with a friend a while ago. Am thinking it was a Spellbinder or Sizzix die?] with yellow vellum for the translucent wings. The flower shaped sequins were a recent find  at a local thrift store, plus I added a bronze colored sequin for the flower centers. Double bling! [I added a close up so that you can see these sequins. They really are quite lovely.] The sentiment is computer generated.

Used an SU die set to cut several  "Thankful" sentiments. For this card, I obtained the neat effect by layering a Thankful cut from vellum over one cut from patterned background paper. Love the muted look it created. Used an old wood mount leaf stamp from Embossing Arts and Autumn Kaleidacolor ink pad to stamp a few leaves on glossy paper. When dry, I fussy cut then and adhered to the card front atop a layer of vellum. [If you visit my blog very often you know that I love using vellum. Luckily I have a bunch of it from when I owned a small stamp store about 20 years ago. I stocked up!]
