Coffee Hero

The Monday Simon Says Challenge this week is titled "Cityscapes." I created the city scene with a compilation of images I found via google and cut a Batman symbol and spotlight from vellum. The Batman image on the inside is from a Crafting Desert Diva digi set named "Coffee Hero." Don't you love him? The "But First, Coffee" sentiment is a free digi from http://www.thechildatheartblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/But-First-Coffee.jpg

My second entry into the Paper Shelter challenge, "Music or Dance" includes a wonderful Paper Shelter image named "Yep, I Have My Methods." I found a wonderful sheet of Christmas music [a freebie from thegraphicsfairy.com/vintage-printable-christmas-sheet-music-santa] that I reduced to fit on an A2 card. Also sized the Santa image to fit then card front. I wanted a green translucent balloon but didn't have any green vellum, so pulled out my pack of plastic document folders.  [You can find them in office supply stores. They come in a pack of assorted colors, are very translucent and are often cheaper than colored vellum.  Plus you can write on them with a fine-line permanent marker and they are also easy to fussy-cut with a nice, sharp pair of scissors. So, they make nice balloons!) Added snow made with a mix of Polar White flower soft and ultra-fine glitter. The frame and small frame sentiments on the inside are scrapbook embellishments. The little Santa birdie is cut from the image and then taped onto the snowback.

For this card, I made a tri-fold card, using a fun digi Frankie that is a freebie from TLC Creations (createwithtlc.blogspot.com) The TLC comes with a spider-filled background, but I also added an upcycled calendar page that provides a stringy gray background that fits perfectly with spiders. The Boo sentiment on the center flap is spelled out with scrapbook alphabet tiles and the inside sentiment is a freebie [from birdscards.com/halloween-card-and-spid-ey-freebies-first-posted-wednesday-september-16-2009] The neck "bolts" are made with silver brads. I drew a line on each to make them look like bolts. Easy Peasy.

My final card for this posting is made with a wonderful image from artist Tammy Tutterow. [You can find it here- www.tammytutterow.com/free-coloring-page-you-are-enough] I had fun using the Grey and Pink color scheme in the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge. I added some Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops to the heart and flower to add a frosty layer that mutes the colors. Silver photo corners finish of the cards delicate beauty.
