Holiday Fun

The latest challenge at Paper Smooches is "Christmas in July." I used one of their sweet free digi to create a Swedish Ornament. To hang on the pine branches on scrapbook paper. Doesn't the little chirper look like he wants to break out in song? So cute!

The current challenge at Power Poppy is called "Inspire Me," and involved CASEing a card made by one of the DTs. I loved this dreamcatcher card created by Allison Cope. For my card I used a Spellbinder medallion die, and, since I'm a guest designer for Beccy's Place right now, I just had to use one of Beccy's digi sets named "Feather Set."  (beccysplace.com)

I've had this wonderful stamp named "Party Group" from Art Impressions for some time. I love that it features some of my favorite AI Oldies including Eunice (spinning), Cliff (hat on fire) and Burnadette (holding a mound of fire!)

The Monday Challenge at wecraftcards is to make a Double Point Fold Card. This was a new fold for me and was pretty easy to make. A sweet digi named "Coconut" from The Paper Shelter is the focal point of the card. And the inside sentiment is from a Beccy's Place digi set named "True Beauty"  (beccysplace.blogspot.com) The fun paint chip type paper is from a summer themed paper pack and the tutorial for the fold can be found here- youtube.com/watch?v=-VY1qv4q4xo

  2. Wonderful cards Kathy! I agree that the little bird looks like he wants to break into song... no doubt something festive and cheerful. I love the bright red and yellow against the pine branches, the contrast is awesome.
You've done a wonderful job CASEing the card from the Power Poppy blog, great choice and fabulous re-creation! I really like the large die cut you used for the "dream catcher" bit. It's nice that you finished off the inside of the card too.
Your third card is awesome! The image is so much fun and you've coloured it beautifully. All those bright colours reflect the fun and energy of that group. Love it!
Your final card for today is lovely and summery. The image and the wonderful colours are perfect for a warm and happy design. I really like the look of the paper you used, I actually thought it was a real paint chip at first. Great fold too!
    Cheers,
    Beccy
