I found a few wonderful fireworks images when I organized my craft room a few weeks ago. They featured an assortment of glittery embossing powders that I bought from Stampendous several years ago. Added some primitive stars that I cut from glittery silver and gold cardstock. The "Celebrate" sentiment on vellum is from my scrapbook stash.

Used an upcycled calendar picture and an old stamp from Stampendous to make this card. Love the canvas paper used on the calendar page which ads an old world charm to the card. The rope and ribbon are colored with Tombow markers. A metallic silver Marvey marker plus fine tip Sharpie black pen and white gel pen were used to color, shade and highlight the anchor.

This month a2z scrapbooking's monthly challenge is "Birthday Bash." I made a card that used lots of scraps (to enter into Pixie's Snippets Challenge) and also a wonderful free digi sentiment from papercraftsmag.com/articles/Best_Birthday_Ever_sentiment
The final touch was to add an antique gold button to add a bit of burnished bling!
