The current challenge at Dis Digi is named "Try something new." So I checked out my Pinterest files for inspiration. Found a camera with a pull-out film strip. There were no instructions, so it took me a little work but I got it figured out. Love the result! The digi is one of Di's images named "Izzy's Friends." The filmstrip die is from Marianne Designs, and since I don't have a Smile die, I sketched this one out and fussy cut it. A little time-consuming… but I think it looks pretty good! (I haven't decided on a sentiment for the inside of the card yet. Possibly "Time spent with you makes my face, and my heart, smile!")

Created this cute card for the current Challenge at Little Scraps of Heaven. I used one of their images named "Spring Frog", made the inside sentiment on my computer and hand-printed the sentiment on the front with a fine-line Sharpie pen. The balloon is an old wood-mount stamp from Posh Impressions and the background sky is stationary paper.

Bugaboo Stamps current challenge requires the use of kraft paper and a BRIGHT POP of color. I made this fun card using one of Bugaboos images named "You Light Up My Life" that I printed on vellum. Created the "light" with circles of white, yellow and blue vellum adhered behind white "bulbs" that I'd traced onto scraps. I used a silver Sharpie pen and white gel pen to add a nice sheen to the metallic sections of the image. Included a close up to share my success in that task!

My final card for this posting is for the wecraftcards Wednesday Challenge that required the use of Pine. I was going to make a Christmas card, but instead opted for a humorous card for a friend, who is truly a hoot! (And yes, some of us Norski's- or spouses of Norski's- really do say "You're a hoot!") I used two wood-mounted stamps from Northwoods and created the sentiment on my laptop. Stamped the owl on kraft brown paper and colored with watercolor pencils. Love the way that the darker background makes the white and yellow pop!
