Another creation to enter into the Butterfly challenge that focuses on the letter "V". My card includes the color Vegas Gold (in the butterfly wings and ribbon) plus the theme Vintage (I used a scrap of music from a choral book from the 1940s. My SIL presented me with a box of music books and sheet music she found when cleaning out the basement of the family farm before they sold it and moved to town. I was so glad she realized that I would make use of such treasures. Otherwise, they would have been burned!) The large butterfly stamp is from Stampscapes and the sentiment stamp is from Stampendous.

This is my final entry into Simon Says Monday Challenge "Food and/or Drink." I used a wonderful freebie image from Beccy's Place and a freebie sentiment from lovesvg.com. To give a bit if outdoorsy feeling, I used kraft paper with a woodgrain. However, the woodgrain is in metallic gold, which I partially covered with vellum to mute its intensity. The free image includes wedding rings sitting next to the strawberries. I decided to cover rings with a strawberry so the card would fit with the non-wedding sentiment. Am also entering the card into the monthly challenge at Beccy's Place and Bugaboos current challenge "Make It Brights" (which requires the used of kraft paper and a BRIGHT POP of color.)

The weekly challenge on the wecraftcards Forum was to make a pull up card (also called a lantern or accordion card on Pinterest.) It looks complicated but is actually pretty easy. It just takes time to cut all the squares and come up with a plan for theme and placement of design/images/sentiments. This card features "patriotic card candy" from a recent swap. It has already been sent to my MIL. I think she will like it! I'm going to make another one of these, but reduce the size so that it fits into a regular A2 or A6 envelope to save postage. Maybe make a smaller base, or fewer squares on the pull up part? Am thinking an Asian theme since I have a ton of patterned papers that I can use.
I'm entering this card into several challenges including CAS-usual Fridays (following the theme, the upcoming holiday that features fireworks), plus a challenge that requires patterned paper and one that requires "Try something new." (I love making cards with creative folds... but this one was new to me!) Here's the tutorial I used mixedupcraft.com/2018/05/28/easy-pull-up-card
