myasperations 2-11-25

I love Christmas…so when I found this wonderful digi stamp at Alex Siberia Designs, I just had to add it to my collection. Why? During the years I taught elementary students, I collected a few dozen bright, bold, often obnoxious, and sometimes noisy holiday apparel items! I still have a handful of favorites that I wear every year. They make my sweet hubby groan, especially the Rudolph one, which sports three sizes of jingle bells!

Supplies
·   Digi and front sentiment- Alex Siberia Designs (Christmas Sweaters Digital Stamp Bundle)
·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers, Sakura Gelly Roll white & silver gel pens
·   Colored with Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils, Sakura Gelly Roll white & silver gel pens
·   Front Sentiment- A free circle sentiment from simply cards&papercrafts (No longer available)
·   Inside Sentiment- “May your Holidays Sparkle…” (Source unknown, for now, I’m trying to find it in
      my hundreds of digi folders!)
·   Stickles- Diamonds (added to snowflakes on sweaters.)
·   Sookwang double-sided tape- Available from several sources on the web.
·   All other items from my stash.

I had fun using this sweet digi from Sweet November Stamps to create a bright and cheerful rainbow card that celebrates the warmer months where I live. Since we currently have nearly a foot of white stuff on the ground with temps between 20-30 degrees below zero the background photo that features a cornfield and billowy summer clouds makes me long for winter to be OVER! I decided to use muted colors for this lovely fairies hair and dress so that the rainbow colors really SHOUT! A layer of Diamond Stickles on her wings and the rainbow add even more magic. So fun!
I’m entering this card into several challenges including Park Hopping-My Happy Place (This is one of my favorite challenges… and host Makira provides a listing that assists in researching theme parks that offer specific themes, items, and types of entertainment. I searched “Fairies” and found The Fairytale Forest at Efteling Park (in the Netherlands). It has a ride named Droomvlucht that offers an  enchanting world of fairies, elves and trolls.” However, that isn’t even the neatest thing. Since boarding the ride involves a moving walkway and visitors need to be able to  descend stairs or a ladder independently in case of an evacuation, the park offers  an optional way to experience the ride.  (Here is info from the web “Disabled visitors can also enjoy the attraction with Virtual Droomvlucht. All senses are stimulated by virtual reality, music, scents and wind. Moreover, visitors are connected with their group in the regular attraction by headphones and microphones, so they can experience this enchanting attraction together.”) Isn’t that the neatest thing EVAH! This theme park is now on my bucket list!

I used a favorite Angie Blom digi, “Birthday Girl Sass,” to create a card for amy sweet hubby who is sure to love the snarky sentiment! I love the look of a black-and-white plus red color scheme. The large black-and-white checked paper used for the background really helps the dark-haired beauty stand out!
I’m entering this card into several challenges including Time Out Challenge: Pick Two (My card includes for of the options: Stitches- on her lovely dress; Layers- the front of the card has six paper layers, and the inside has four;  Hearts, and Love.)
