I am honored to have served as a Guest Designer for Beccy Muir at
Beccy’s Place and am now one of her “Contributors” (which means that she
provides me with digis or clear stamp sets several times a year and I get to
create cards or other items with them!) It
is always fun to see the images Beccy invites me to use. This time, the digi and sentiments are from a
just-released set named “Wheels.” After coloring the van, I decided to create a
sentiment “banner” to drape between its front mirrors. I measured the distance
between the mirrors, and printed the sentiment, in various sizes and well-spaced, on regular white copy paper. I used a pencil to lightly sketch the drape
for the banner, selected the one that would fit best, added shading, cut, and
adhered it to the front of the van. The flowers on the van reminded me of some
wonderful paper that I won from a company named Dare2BArtzy. I used it as a background for the front of the card, and fussy-cut many of the blooms to
embellish the inside sentiment.
I’m entering this card into
several challenges including Passion
for Markers “In the Garden” (my card includes lots of flowers!) and Paper Funday’s “Flower Power”
(that title makes me think of the ’60s… so it is the perfect tie-in with the
Hippy van!)

Parks and found several. One, the Inflatable Unicorn Island, is in the Philippines.
