myasperations 12-8-21

It's time for another challenge at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog where challenges are always Anything Goes and prizes are awarded from one or more sponsors.  Stop by the blog to check it out!
This week's sponsor is LeAnn's World 101 and my DT card features a digi of a violinist who appears to be caught up in the wonderful power of music. I’ll be giving this Christmas card to a staff member that plays the violin. She was a first-chair violinist in High School orchestra and occasionally plays for weddings and church events. She even resembles the beautiful young woman in the digi… how sweet is that?!
Supplies:
·   Digi- LeAnn's World 101 (Lindsey)

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Inside Sentiment- Digi- Scribbles Designs (Silent Night Wreath)

·   Galaxy and Music Patterned Paper- Hobby Lobby

·   Instructions for Z-fold card can be found HERE.

·   All other items from my stash.

On December 3rd (Here) I posted a gate-fold winter-themed card that was actually one of a pair of cards that I created a few weeks ago. Both cards feature several layers, a few upcycled items and white flocking to add texture to the pompoms on the two hats (which are from a set of five different hat shapes/styles) from Scribbles Designs.

Supplies:
·   Digi Hats (on front and inside)- Scribbles Designs (Winter Hats)

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Snowflake and Plaid Paper- Echo Park 12x12 paper

·   Front Sentiment-” Celebrate Winter” (upcycled from the edge of Echo Park 12x12 paper)

·   Large Snowflake on card flap (upcycled on acetate package from wool socks)

·   Blue snowflake sand inside Sentiment and from a Sticker set- Hobby Lobby

·   Cardstock, assorted snowflakes, and white flocking from my stash.

Here is another of the cards I made for last months “Annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge” at Beccy’s Place, but ran out of time to actually enter them! I love the friendly-looking Santa, and when I found the vintage recipe sheet in my digi collection, I knew that they were made for each other! Because we all know that a plate of yummy cookies can increase a person’s chance of making it on the “good” list, right? (An added note- the vintage recipe sheet digi is a freebie! The original is colored with beautiful shades of tan, brown, and red.  But our printer is regularly messing up on colored copies, so I printed it off in greyscale and details with markers and a white gel pen. I think they look pretty tasty… and make me want to start holiday baking NOW!)
Supplies:
·   Santa Digi and inside sentiment from a Beccy’s Place Digi Set (The Big Guy)

·   Cookie Background- TLC Creations Freebie (Christmas Cookie Vintage Recipe Card)

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers, Sakura Gelly Roll white & silver gel pens

·   Dark Plaid paper- Hobby Lobby’s Plaid Box of Cards

·   Fur on Suit and Cap-Flower Soft Polar White you can find HERE

·   Inside embellishments (yellow pencil and HoHoHo sentiment) from my scrapbook stash

·   Cardstock and other items from my stash.

  5. I'm sure your colleague will love the Christmas card you created for her Kathy, it's fabulous! I love how you used just part of the image and have her emerging from the circle frame. You also did an awesome job on the colouring.
Love the little hats on your pair of cards, they're so cute! Great idea to add the flocking to the pompom and trim, the texture is very cool.
Your last card is wonderfully festive! Who can resist the big man himself... especially when he comes with cookies in the background. Love the vintage recipe sheet!
    Cheers,
    Beccy
