I wanted to make one more card to enter
into the 2020 Fall & Winter Coffee
Lovers Blog Hop, hosted by Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog, which ends
tonight. I looked through the list of sponsors, wanting to make a card using
one of their stamps or digis… and found this wonderful digi named Autumn
Pumpkin Mug from STAMPlorations. It is perfect for a fall card… and it is a
freebie! I sized the image to fit onto an A2 card and made it into a shape
card. I’d originally planned to make a little sentiment tag to tie around the
mugs handle with ribbon, but that changed after I messed up when coloring a
leaf on the upper left side of the mug. Every attempt to fix it just made it
look worse. I finally decided to cover my oops with two vellum leaves and a
sentiment. I still used the ribbon I’d already tied into a bow, taping it onto
the left edge of the mug. The inside sentiment was a little large, to I folded
it in half and created a pop-up with it. So fun!
Supplies:
· Digi- STAMPlorations freebie (Autumn Pumpkin Mug)
·
Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique
markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
· Front Sentiment- “Happy Fall” from Power Poppy Digi Set (Autumns Opulence)
· Inside Sentiment-
Desert Diva (Happy Birthday
to a Very Special Person)
· Inside Sentiment- Love SVG freebie (Happy Pumpkin Spice Season)
· Cardstock, two vellum leaves and ribbon scrap from my stash

Anything Goes #527
STAMPlorations- Never ending Anything Goes Challenge
I was thrilled last month to learn that Kris Breach, artist/owner of Imagine That Digistamps was starting challenges again! I served on Kris’ DT before she took some time off and really enjoyed working with her… and creating with her wonderful artwork. Kris started with a Progressive Challenge that will run through November. Sign up HERE anytime between now and the end of November to get started with your first digi for free!
The free digi for November is named Marleen’s Christmas Stocking, I thought the look on Marleen's face carries a mix of humor and surprise… which made me think she may have just experienced something unusual… like seeing her mommy kissing Santa Claus?! That is where the idea for the background was born. I found free sheet music for the song and adhered it to the card front. When finished, I decided to add a layer of Candy Cane vellum between Marlene and the sheet music to add a bit of color.
Supplies:
· Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
· Assorted background papers, vellum, clear photo corners, and cardstock from my stash

Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge- #515 Anything Goes
The 8th annual Challenge goes on all month, with drawings for daily challenges, for posting comments and even random entry numbers! Stop in HERE to learn more. Most of the challenges follow an A-Z theme… with a few other topics thrown in to cover all 31 days of November. This card is for the letter “E” as in Easter Joy (one of Beccy’s great digi sets.) I used a vintage wreath cut from a piece of scrapbook paper as the base, coloring it in pastels with decorative chalks and a white gel pen. A sweet little duck is perched on the wreath, showing off her beautiful flower tiara!
Supplies:
· Duck Digi- Beccy’s Place Digi Set (Easter Joy)
· Colored with Decorative Chalks, Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
· Front and inside sentiments- Beccy’s Place Digi Set (Easter Joy)
· Assorted cardstock and scrapbook paper from my stash

ReplyDeleteHi Kathy your cards are gorgeous. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteThree wonderful cards. Anesha
ReplyDeleteThat is one awesome pop-up card Kathy, what a great idea to add the centre panel to the mug! I love the pumpkin and autumn leaves too, the colours are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYour second card is super cute, the image is adorable and you've done a wonderful job with the colouring. I think Marleen looks like she has a mouthful of the candy from her stocking! Those cheeks are definitely filled with something.
I LOVE your Easter card Kathy, it's gorgeous. The beautiful wreath in the background has been coloured perfectly, the hints of white really bring it to life. I love that you've fussy cut the little chick to sit perfectly amongst the flowers. Gorgeous.
Cheers,
Beccy
Three lovely cards Kathy. The Easter one is adorable - and reminds me of the vintage Easter cards and postcards that I have seen.
