Perfect Time to Craft 2020-Anything Goes- Challenge #6-2020
This
week there are several challenges with Masculine themes, so I dug through my
stamps and found this vintage stamp from Embossing Arts that I’ve had since the
late ‘90s. After stamping the eagle and reeds, I created a cloudy sky background with decorative chalks, a makeup sponge, and a stencil cut from scrap
paper. I used a white eraser to remove any blue chalk from the eagle image. (I
love how you can easily erase most chalk colors, especially if you use a light
hand when applying them.) After coloring the eagle with alcohol inks and a
white gel pen, I trimmed the clouds across the top of the card to create a
shape card. However, after I finished, I discovered that I’d trimmed the top of
the card to much and it was no longer stable. So…. mounted it onto dark
cardstock, added sentiments and it was good to go!

When
digging through my wood stamps (which I seldom use anymore) I found this one
from Azadi Earles, which is one of the
first stamps I ever bought. I’ve always loved the way it looks when embossed,
so I dug out my seldom-used heat gun and got to work. Patterned paper, a bit of
bling and computer-generated sentiment on the inside pulled the card together.
