What a Week!

It’s Friday, and between putting in over 60 hours at work and dealing with family health issues, I'm so glad that the week is almost over! And... look forward to another challenge at QKR Stampede!  Stop by the challenge, which is always “Anything Goes” and several prizes are awarded. Maybe you’ll be inspired to enter a card or two yourself? My DT card features one of my favorite Eureka digital images named Pumpkins and Fence (that is available for just $2.) I colored the image from the back with Spectrum Noir Coloring System alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. The sentiments are from my scrapbook stash, and the beautiful ribbon was a recent purchase from Hobby Lobby.

Cute As A Button-#49 Anything Goes

This week the wecraftcard Forum is holding a Winter Crop. I’m hosting the Friday Challenge titled “Add a Bit O’ Sparkle.” Participants get an extra entry if their card also includes an upcycled item. For my card, I used a wonderful die-cut that is actually cut from the front of a luminary bag that I purchased at the dollar store a while ago. (I didn’t take a photo of the skate luminary, but am providing a pic of a sleigh one that I purchased the same time.) The sparkly snowflakes and front sentiment (that also has a bit of sparkle) were upcycled from an old card. The inside sentiment is a vintage sentiment that I removed form it’s wood mount (I think it might be Embossing Arts or PSX?)

My final post is made with a free Halloween Favor Bag from Vectoria Designs. (You can learn about their freebies and other items HERE.) I added some color to the apothecary bottle on the bag with Spectrum Noir Coloring System alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. The little eek sentiment is a freebie from TLC Creations (that appears to no longer be available.)  The large spider is a diecut from my scrapbook stash, but I added a little flash with small red rhinestone eyes. Am entering this card into several challenges including Bugaboo BINGO (diagonal from lower left: 3 layers, gem and players choice-treat bag) and Double D's Silhouette Challenge.
