Cute Card Thursday- Challenge #601
Sentimental
I love these two owls from a Beccy’s Place digi set named
“You’re a Hoot” and they even have names! Ophelia, on the card front, is so sweet
while Augusta, on the inside, is the king of grumpy! I colored them with Spectrum Noir Coloring System alcohol markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll
white gel pen. The sentiments are computer-generated. (Oh, and the yummy cupcake behind the vellum is from a Beccy's Place digi set named "Celebrations.")

My final card for this post features a freebie from
Dearie Dolls that you can find HERE. I printed the image
on tan parchment cardstock and colored it with Spectrum
Noir Coloring System alcohol markers, a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen and
pink chalk. The inside sentiment is upcycled from an old Christmas card.

Your owls made me laugh - such characters! We are so glad you shared it with us at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies. CarolG
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards Kathy! I have never tried the spotlight technique, although I've seen it used lots of times in fabulous ways. I really like your idea for adding a thin die cut circle to border the spotlit area... great colouring too.
ReplyDeleteThe owl card is awesome! I love the two owls and the little conversation they're having. Great idea to add the cupcake under the vellum, it's a nice touch.
Your Christmas card is very sweet, I really like the image. It's drawn on an interesting angle... obviously from Jesus' point of view. Great colouring once again Kathy. Lovely!
Cheers,
Beccy
