Snappy Fun

It's Wednesday! So time for another challenge at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog where challenges are always Anything Goes and prizes are awarded from one or more sponsors.  Stop by the blog to check it out! The sponsor this week is Imagine That and I used a digi set named "Snappy Sandy." I colored Sandy with Spectrum Noir markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. And upcycled calendar provided the background and little photos to place inside of the filmstrip die (from Marianne Designs) and the camera lens. The inside sentiment is a freebie from Love SVG.
One added note- I am on the Design Team for Imagine That and the designer/owner of this wonderful company, Kris Breach, provides her DTs with a coupon code that allows any friends a discount on their next digi order. If you stop by the shop I know that you'll find lots of digis you'll want to add to your collection.

I had fun making this cute card as my first entry at the 2019 Cat Lovers Blog hosted by aherpeacefulgarden.blogspot.com. It features a digi named “Wolfie” from Whimsie Doodles, a company that sadly closed its doors a while ago. I colored Wolfie with Spectrum Noir markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. I printed off and colored an extra image of his treat bag with I added with foam tape to add some depth to the image. The fun Happy Halloween sentiment on the front is a freebie from BirdsCards. The inside Trick or Treat sentiment is a freebie from LoveSVG. I'm entering this card into several challenges including Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge (Orange plus yellow and green and the twist is candy!)
PS I appreciate that several people commented that the digi's name confused them. Although he is name dis "Wolfie" (I assume for Wolf man?) I thought he looked more like a lion with his mane and tail, so I colored him accordingly. And, that is also why I entered him into the Cat Lovers Hop! I hope he qualifies? If not, that's okay.  In either case, he is a cutie!

My final card this posting features a beautiful wood mound set of rose stamps from Rubber Stampede. (I purchased them in the late 1990s after seeing the amazing stamp artist, Dee Gruenig, create with them.) Created a background for the stamped rose with a scrap of vintage sheet music (inherited from my hubby's grandmother, who was a church choir director in the 1940s), a handmade tag with a frilly rectangle created with a set of Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page- Swirling Lace Punch Set (includes both a border and corner punch. This is what you can create when you use both!)  The front sentiment is one that I removed from it’s wood mount long ago (I think it might be Hero Arts or PSX?) and the “With Love at Christmas”  sentiment on the inside is a freebie from Beccy’s Place. Their is a sprig of holly on the original . I layered a rose bloom atop that to match the front of the card. But I wanted you to see the orginal freebie, so posted a copy of the original freebie, adding a watermark. Please visit Beccy's Place to download the original. (BTW- Beccy offers a ton of free digis that you can download from her site. Stop in here to check them out!) I'm entering this card into several challenges including Bugaboo BINGO (diagonal from the upper left- Flower, Players Choice- I select tag, and Ribbon.)

  12. This card is really darling, Kathy! Love how you added dimension with the treat bag. Is "Wolfie" actually a cat dressed as a wolf for Halloween? lol

  13. Well...it might be named Wolfie, but I am going to say it looks like a lion or some fang-some sort of big cat, so it qualifies for the Cat Hop! :)
    Fab collection of cards.
Thanks so much for playing along in the #2019CatLoversHop!!

  14. I was a little confused by the Wolfie digi name, as I'm assuming the costume is a wolf costume...? However, that tail looks suspiciously cat-like and I love the coloring and quirky fun image!
