Fall and Winter

Hello! It’s the first Thursday of the month, so time for a new challenge at Imagine That Digi Stamps. For my DT card, I used a digi from two Imagine That sets: Lorie's Mocha for all Seasons and Coffee Sentiments.  The sweet image is colored with Spectrum Noir Coloring System alcohol markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. Patterned papers and some wooden leaf cutouts that I picked up at Hobby Lobby decorate the festive card.
One added note- The designer/owner of Imagine That, Kris Breach, provides her DTs with a coupon code that allows any friends a discount on their next digi order. If you stop by the shop I know that you'll find lots of digis you'll want to add to your collection. Then, make sure to enter your card into this months challenge with an "Anything Goes" theme for a chance to win a $12 coupon to the Imagine That Digistamp shop, or a Top 3 award which includes 2 free digi sets of your choice and an invite to be our Guest Designer in the next challenge!  You can find the full rules HERE.

The current challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters is named “Friendship is the Greatest Gift” and requires the word friend to be featured on the card. I’ve always loved this sweet digi set from Beccy’s Place named “New Friends” so used the image, plus two sentiments on my colorful winter card. The image is colored with Spectrum Noir Coloring System alcohol markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. The snowflakes are made with a Lawn Fawn die set.

My final card for this post features the same freebie from a Dearie Dolls card that I posted yesterday. Once again, I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Coloring System alcohol markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen.  However, for this card, I also printed the image on vellum, and attached it atop the colored image. The result is a beautiful muted scene. A silver star sticker adds a bit of bling to the front of the card, and to the inside sentiment. (I’m not sure the source of the inside sentiment. I found it in my stash and can’t locate it in my digi, clear or wood-mount stamps. It might be upcycled from an old card? If anyone recognizes it’s source… please let me know!)

  3. Love the autumn colours in your first card Kathy, and the leaves are fabulous. I also like the wonderful sentiment you added to the middle of the card.
The red, white and blue colour scheme of your Christmas card is wonderful, and I like that you've carried it through both the image and the papers. The little snowflakes scattered on the front and centre are a lovely addition.
I really love your last card in this post. The vellum overlay was a great idea as it has softened the image beautifully. Well done!
    Cheers,
    Beccy
