Midweek Fun

It's Wednesday! So time for another challenge at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog where challenges are always Anything Goes and prizes are awarded from one or more sponsors.  Stop by the blog to check it out! The sponsor this week is Imagine That and I used a digi set named "Reindeer Carols." I colored the cute trio with Spectrum Noir markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. The sentiments are from the set and the sheet music background is a freebie that I found HERE. I cut the hearts from scraps of red cardstock and added shadows with a light grey marker and highlights with a white gel pen to give them depth.
One added note- The designer/owner of Imagine That, Kris Breach, provides her DTs with a coupon code that allows any friends a discount on their next order. If you stop by the shop I know that you'll find lots of digis you'll want to add to your collection.

I needed a card for a teenage Packers football fan… and found a pic on Pinterest that inspired me (HERE.) I didn’t have an embossing folder to make the pigskin texture (but want to find one!) so made a simpler version of the card. The sentiments are computer generated, and the stickers are from my scrapbook stash of comic book  related stickers. So fun to put them to work in a new way.

My final card for this challenge includes a technique that I found on the Do-Al[l] Creative challenge a few months ago. It is called a "Lift Card." The challenge site DTs provided several sample cards. [You can see them HERE.] I am working on a gift of holiday cards for a friend and decided to make a Lift Card using a Stampin’ Up! Image and sentiment, Cute Ape and “Hey, Valentine", from the SU stamp set named “Hey You”. The “ You're so Awesome” sentiment is from the SU Flowering Desert stamp set. The red lips background is from a packet of cards that I picked up at Target years ago. A few puffy heart stickers and pearl and silver heart brads provide a little dimension.
