Four for Friday

My work schedule has settled down a bit so I was able to make extra DT cards for the few challenges this week.
My first card for the  QKR Stampede Challenge features a QKR digi (Q-digi10004 Branding) and a QKR sentiment (Q-digi11207 Cow Country.)  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. The denim and red patterned (neck kerchief) paper were recent finds at Hobby Lobby and I was happy to find them in my stash when making this cowpoke card. They are perfect! And, since I live in Wisconsin, the dairy state, I especially love the fun inside sentiment. I also like the look of the kraft photo corners on the card front. (Last Christmas I found a wonderful assortment of multicolored self- adhesive photo corners at Amazon. The price was so cheap, $6.94 for 24 dozen, that I feared they would be poor quality. But most of the corners are in perfect condition. (Here is the name of the product. You might be able to find them from other sources, too.

My second DT card for this weeks QKR Stampede Challenge is a belated birthday card… mainly because I find that I need lots of this type of card! I used a sweet QKR digi (Q-digi21504 Straddling Moose) that I colored with Spectrum Noir markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. I created the little party hat with a few scraps of patterned paper and layered a few colorful paper scraps behind the image. The sentiments are computer-generated.

This week's sponsor at the Colour Crazy Challenge is Polkadoodles, and I made two cards featuring adorable little beauties. My first features a sweet image named Miss Kelly Von Sweets, which is colored the little cutie with Spectrum Noir markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. I layered a delicate square doily beneath the image, adding to the cards feminine feeling. The inside sentiment is a freebie that you can find HERE. I added a bit of texture and color to the inside of the card by adding a scrap of the doily and a few of my favorite puffy heart stickers [from a pack I found at Walmart that contains 113 assorted puffy hearts for just 99 cents!]

My second DT card for the Colour Crazy Challenge is Polkadoodles image that features Mermaid Winnie in a scene named  Anchors Away I wanted to make it look like Winnie was really hanging on the anchor so created a Z-Fold card. [You can find a tutorial for making this fold HERE.] I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. The sentiment is from a Bugaboo Stamps digi set named Under the Sea. And the bubbles are made with clear sequins topped with Clear Nuvo drops.Am including this card into several challenges including Outlawz Tuesday Challenge (three colors-beige, blue, and cream; and a twist- bling)

  7. All of your cards are gorgeous. Thank you for blessing us with your entry to our challenge at Word Art Wednesday. Leaving you with God's Word in 1 John 3:1 that says, "See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him." Have a blessing filled day.
