Bugs and Flowers

Hello! It’s the first Thursday of the month so time for a new challenge at Imagine That Digi Stamps. For my DT card, I used a sweet image and sentiment from a digi set (Bee Boy) and sentiment from a digi paper (Bees n' Sunflowers Digi paper.) I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen and added sparkles to the wings with halographic sticker paper (from my stash... I've had it for a few decades and it still sticks!) Made the honeycomb-patterned paper by inking up a scrap of bubble wrap with golden yellow ink pads and pressing it against the paper. Easy Peasy. Or should I say Easy Beesy? Ha!
One added note- The designer/owner of Imagine That, Kris Breach, provides her DTs with a coupon code that allows any friends a discount on their next digi order. If you stop by the shop I know that you'll find lots of digis you'll want to add to your collection. Then, make sure to enter your card into this months challenge with an "Anything Goes" theme for a chance to win a $12 coupon to the Imagine That Digistamp shop, or a Top 3 award which includes 2 free digi sets of your choice and an invite to be our Guest Designer in the next challenge!  You can find the full rules HERE.

Oops, I almost forgot to mention that Kris is offering a freebie giveaway on the new Imagine That FB page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/imaginethatdigistamp/
Stop by to see how you can win this adorable image!

After winning a challenge in July, I was invited to be a guest DT for the Thursday with a Twist Challenges at Outlawz during August. Fred She Said is the sponsor this month, and this is the first of three images that I’ll be sharing this month. For this card, I used the beautiful digi named “Pumpkins and Sunflowers” that you can find HEREI colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers, a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen, and a white colored pencil. The “twist” is include Chevrons or other Geometric Patterns. I chose Chevrons and used a Jennifer McGuire video on creating chevron borders to simplify things. It really was pretty simple and is also a great way to use up some of my stash of patterned papers. I even had scraps left over to use to decorate the inside sentiment. You can find the helpful video HEREThe sentiments are from a Power Poppy set named “Autumns Opulence.”
