Three DT Cards

For this weeks QKR Stampede Challenge, my DT card features a fun image [Eureka Stamps: ES-digi7954-bear balloon] and a sentiment [Eureka Stamps: ES-digi20202-Beary Special]. You can find them HERE. I kept the card pretty simple [which you might know is difficult for me to do as I like coloring, layering, etc.] I kept the color scheme simple, just adding a bit of pink with Spectrum Noir markers on the balloon bears cheeks and ears, ad using pink dotted swiss background paper for his belly, paw and one balloon. I used a fine-line black pen to draw the balloon strings and bows, anchoring them to the arm and also the sentiment. I also "attached" one tiny balloon to the sentiment to balance out the card's design.  A few of my beloved little puffy heart stickers add a touch of fun and dimension to the card. [I get these gems from WalMart- 113 assorted stickers  in the package  for just 99 cents- so they show up on my cards quite often!]

This week's sponsor at the Colour Crazy Challenge is Polkadoodles. As a DT I enjoy having a choice of which image to color… and this I liked two of the images so much that I opted to make two cards. The first one features an adorable image named, "Winnie Float Away." You can find it HERE. I colored the little cutie with Spectrum Noir markers, a brown fine line watercolor marker, and a white gel pen. Summer? Bring it!

For my second DT card for the Colour Crazy Challenge, I used an image and sentiments from the digi set-  "Pirate Little Dude." You can find it HERE.  The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers, a white gel pen, and a micro fine black watercolor marker. The sand and waves are created with torn paper. I also added a strip of plastic netting that I upcycled from a bag of citrus. Love the texture that it adds to the card. Am entering this into several challenges including Double D "Frames" [since I created a double frame with cardstock to highlight the little guy.]
