The first is an entry for this weeks Simon
Say's Monday Challenge named "Use Stencils." I own very few stencils, but I do have one
that I like a LOT. It is a two piece stencil named "Dots and
Stripes" that I got from Printworks about 20 years ago. Haven't used it
for a while, so need to dig a bit to find it, but had fun making a plaid background with the
stripes stencil, ink pads, a stamping sponge and a few Tombow watercolor
markers. The image and sentiment are from a Beccy's Place digi set named, "Big
Wishes." You can find it HERE.

Anything Goes
I loved this free sentiment from Kellie Winnell when
I first saw it HERE a few years ago and knew that I'd find
the perfect image to make a card with it. Well, I found it! Bugaboo's "Gus
Hunter" seems like he'd hunt for donuts… especially if they had sprinkles.
[You can find this image HERE.]
I colored Gus with Spectrum Noir markers and my trusty Sakura Gelly Roll white
gel pen, fussy cut and adhered him onto a few strips of background paper [the
camo paper is from a recent Hobby Lobby run.] The crowning touch on this fun
card is the donut stickers that I found at WalMart. The packet contains 32
assorted sprinkly, sparkly little gems for just 99 cents. Of course, I picked up
a few packages! I am entering this in several challenged including Bugaboo Stella Sketch [the little target is a free clip art image that I think works well with the sentiment and hunting theme but I just realized that I have the background strips running the wrong direction. So much for counting on my memory. Hope that doesn't disqualify my card?], Cute Card Thursday [square card], and Art Impressions [since Gus is hunting donuts, I think that the deer hiding behind him has nothing to fear.]

My final card for this posting features a
wonderful full page daisy digi from Power Poppy that works beautifully for
their current Creative Confetti Challenge named "Go Big." [The daisy
digi is actually a freebie that you can find HERE.] Colored the digi with Spectrum Noir
markers and white gel pen. Then wasn't sure what I wanted to do with the finished
digi so decided to look for inspiration. Was going to visit Pinterest, when I picked
up the Sunday insert of our paper and found a photo that led to the creation
of this card. I attempted to mimic the look of weaving on the sides of the
furniture with thin strips of red and blue cardstock. It was a bit tedious, but I love
using up scraps of paper. After I adhered the woven strips to two corners, I
finished the card by adding a free sentiment from Winkwinkink [you can find it HERE.]
