For this week's challenge at QKR Stampede I made a card using a Eureka digi image and QKR sentiment (ES-digi 23902 Cool Cat with Shades and Q- digi 21004 You're Purrfect) that you can find at Stamponit HERE.
I love this fun cat image, especially when a bit of bling is added to the feline's shades. I colored the image and sentiment with my Spectrum Noir markers and white gel pen.

Wanted to make a baby card to enter in the current "If You Give a Crafter A Cookie" challenge, and remembered some little Precious Moments clothing patches I'd found at a thrift store a while ago. Using one of the boy patches as my focal point, I made a Tri-fold shutter card (tutorial can be found HERE) and since I want the receiver of the card to be able to use the little patch, I attached the instructions for attaching it to fabric to the back of the card. Since the sentiments are computer generated I'm hoping this card also qualifies for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "No Stamps Allowed."

The current challenge at wecraftcards is to create a card with paper piecing. I had made a card for a challenge last fall that involved some pretty major paper piecing of coffee cups and knew that I had fussy cut several additional sets. So… dug those out and created this card. For details on how to make this card using a digi from HERE and directions for paper piecing the card from HERE NOTE- the directions are half way down the page] plus a few tips I added to simplify the process, stop by that posting in my blog.
The sentiments are both from TLC Creations although it looks like both are now retired, you can find many other great freebies there, check it out HERE You can find them HERE.

In my last post, I noted that I had offered to make a packet of cards for a friend, asking what kind of cards she'd like. Her response, cards to give her grandkids that she doesn't get to see as often as she'd like. This is one of those cards for her 4-year-old granddaughter who likes "Princesses, pink and purple." So… this card was made just for her. The sweet image was a freebie from TLC Creations however, it must be retired as I can no longer find it posted there. I added a pretty sticker crown from Jolee's and some rhinestones and gem butterflies to add some bling. Because, what 4-year old Princess doesn't want lots of bling? Plus, found one of those little scarfs that my mom used to wear [it's been in my stash for such a time as this] and wrapped it around the little cuties skirt to add a bit of flounce and texture. The inside sentiment, that also includes the little purple butterfly gems, is a freebie from Decosses Dynamite Doodles. You can find it HERE.

Love your "Cool Cat" Have to make a birthday card for my son with this image as he has a cat he adores and adores him right back!!! Great card and love that background too!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are all such fun cards and I love how you incorporate odds and ends in your designs. You are definitely inspiring me to dig through my craft stash and start looking at things in a whole new way. Like many crafters, I've amassed a lot of "stuff" over the years and most of it is sitting in bins, boxes, and drawers. I have a lot of old kid-themed patches that would work wonderfully on kiddie cards.
ReplyDeleteWow.. this is so wonderful! The the pretty details of the princess…
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along with our Do-Al(l) Kreatives Challenge and good luck!
