Card Trio

I love this sweet Bugaboo image and had fun pairing it with this funny sentiment (from my files, created on my laptop and printed off on my computer.) One reason that I like using digi images is that they can be enlarged or minimized to fit almost any space such as the segments of this great film strip die from Marianne Design.  Was inspired to use some of my many scraps of paper and ribbon to make this card using the current Sketch for the Stella challenge at Bugaboo.

I use this Tiddly Inks digi image named Petite Q often because she is adorable and fun to color. For this card, I used an Ombre color palette (Simon Says Monday Challenge) and a round die cut (The Paper Shelter Challenge). Finished the card off with a wonderful die cut sentiment "Sparkle"( that I won at a Double D Challenge last fall. Thanks, Diane!) plus a Jolee's sticker crown and rhinestone flower… because a princess needs her bling!

My final card in this trio uses another beautiful digi image from Tiddly Inks that is FREE! (You can find it here- www.tiddlyinks.com/whats-new/flowers-free-printable-notecard)  I love the unique collage feel of this image, which includes shading and the text background. So fun! The digi actually prints out as two note cards on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of cardstock. However, for this card I wanted a layered shabby chic theme, so mounted the front of the notecard atop a paper doily, scraps of a paper lace placemat and assorted shapes cut from shades of green and burgundy to make a large card. I colored the B&W image with  Spectra Noir markers, added a few strips of sheer ribbon, a tag (from Lili of the Valley) and pretty turquoise photo corners. Am entering this card into several challenges, including the Calling All Sista's Challenge (which inspires stampers to make cards to encourage others that are going through rough times. This card is soon heading to my sister- who is also a dear friend. She is enduring chemo right now for Multiple Myeloma so I try to regularly send her a card. I think this one will brighten her day!)

  4. You are a very prolific crafter! It would take me weeks to make a trio of cards! I love the sentiment on the first one...too funny! You've done a wonderful job of coloring the princess and flowers images. I agree with you on that flower image; I love it, too! I am amazed when I see digital images being used, as I've never used them. (no printer). I am so happy that you've decided to follow my blog! Thank you for your really sweet comment there, too! Hugs!
