A Rainbow and Clouds!

More cards made from a few full days in my craft room that will be included in gift packets for high school graduates. I needed a few St. Pats Day cards. This cute little leprechaun from Bugaboo is named "Peeker March" was created to meet the Bingo challenge, diagonal options "Sparkle, 2 Images Merged, Embossing." (The yellow vellum is embossed with a Darice's folder. The sparkle is in the paper I used behind the sentiment and I also colored the coins with Spectrum Noir™ Sparkle Pens- metallic gold marker. The sentiment is a freebie named Leprechaun Collage from TLC Creations-createwithtlc.blogspot.com) I used a precut clover card as the base, which allows me to enter the card into the current A2Zscrapbooking challenge "Shape Shift."

I won a recent challenge at Tiddly Inks and this is one of the digis that I selected. Isn't it amazing?!! Actually, this Mama Giraffe was a free addition to the set that features baby Giraffe with fun "dress up" extras. (Check it out here- www.tiddlyinks.com) I sponged chalk clouds onto a white A2 card and created the sentiment on my computer, printing it off with the giraffe digi. To enter the card into Tiddly Inks current challenge, I needed to add florals or plants. So I die cut some foliage on assorted green scraps of cardstock. Then, since it seems like stenciling is making a huge comeback in the stamping world, I had a brain strike of inspiration to make a foliage stencil. I used the die to cut a trio of foliage fronds from a scrap of acetate.  I didn't get quite as clean of an image as I would have liked, so I shaded the left edges with a green marker. Fast and simple background enhancement! Latly, I colored the mama Giraffe image with Spectrum Noir markers, then fussy cut her out and adhered her to a background. Lovin' the result!

I am so excited that the 2018 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop started yesterday. And… even more excited that I had the day off so I could start "creating" right away. I have next week off mainly to do some relaxing and Spring cleaning. I think I'll be doing a lot of cleaning/organizing in my craft room. Ha!! For this card, I upcycled the sentiment from an old greeting card (I never throw anything away) and fussy cut the mini teacup, teapot, and tray from scrapbook paper. Adhered the teapot and cup to the tray, then added "steam" and highlights with a white gel pen. The final touch was to add clear green enamel dots to provide a bit of bling! Am entering this card into several challenges including the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, Simon Says "Inspired by a Song" (Happy Birthday to you….), and CAS-usal Fridays 8th  Birthday Celebration challenge.
