Adorable images

Oh my... as a fairly new blogger, tonight I accidentally deleted all comments from 10-17 to 10-24. My apologies for those of you who posted a comment that is no longer visible. I promise never to try to organize things again!

One of my favorite Eureka stamps is this cute snowball throwin' bear. Wanted to add a bit of sparkle so added glitter to the snowball, upcycled the liner from a can of coffee to create the silver circle behind the stamped image, and finished off the sparkle with metallic snowflake stickers.

Had fun making a Monster card for the current Less Is More Challenge. The image is from Bugaboo Stamp's Mini-Monster Blocks. And the circle sentiment is a free that you can find here: desertdiva-hannelie.blogspot.com/2014/10/little-creatures-for-lim-194.html

Had fun making this card to enter into a few challenges. The sweet little wizard from Bugaboo Stamps is the perfect image to put on a card for the AAA Challenge "Inspired By A Film." Guess which movie inspired the card? (The round glasses should help you come up with the correct answer. Although they aren't usually sparkly silver on the real wizard!) Also, am entering it into the Bugaboo Bingo challenge. It includes the bottom left diagonal: layers, players choice (bugaboo image), and gem (sparkly star.)
Also, because I still have a limited number of alcohol markers, I colored this little guy with my Tombow markers. In the photo the coloring looks pretty sketchy. So, let's just say that the look I was after was "threadbare." Nailed it!
The perfect sentiment is from Beccy's Place digi set named "Gnomes in my Garden."

Stamp A Scene 2

Oh my... as a fairly new blogger, tonight I accidentally deleted all comments from 10-17 to 10-24. My apologies for those of you who posted a comment that is no longer visible. I promise never to try to organize things again!

Another Stamp A Scene entry into the current Stamp Impressions Challenge. For this one, I used a die cut window, AI Annie ( front and back stamp set), plus sweet little butterfly images and sentiments from the Hero Arts Stamps& Cuts Butterfly. Used patterned paper for the wallpaper and cloudy sky. And, colored the Annie images with watercolors which I haven't done for a while. Was glad I could find my brushes! Did add a few highlights with my white gel pen, and black sharpie marker.
Am also entering into a few other challenges, including A Blog Named Hero since I used the butterfly and two sentiments. (I wasn't sure if a butterfly is considered a critter. But, a few google sources said yes since critter means creation or living thing. So hope it is allowable!)

I love this new digi image from Bugaboo named "Puppy Love." I colored this puppy to look like one of our fur babies that we rescued from the shelter. Her name was Jinx. She crossed the rainbow bridge 12 years ago and we still miss her.

I am enthralled with the current challenge at AAA Stamps! Have had the most fun ever in creating cards that are inspired by a film. Since my sweet hubby and I love to watch movies and have quite a large DVD collection of favorites, I hardly know where to STOP in this challenge. This entry, which should be very easy to guess, even has glittery shoes!  The digi image is from Dearie Dolls (freedeariedollsdigistamps.blogspot.com) and the inside sentiment is from TLC Creations (createwithtlc.blogspot.com).

My final card in this posting was developed for the current Bugaboo Bingo challenge. It features a Bugaboo image named "Thoughts and Prayers Candle" however, I turned it into an encouragement card by placing a Forever Friends tag over the sympathy sentiment. It meets the Bingo requirements from the top left diagonal: flower, players choice (bugaboo image), and ribbon. I also created it to fit into the Power Poppy Challenge (I made it a little under four inches square on black cardstock) plus the CAS-ual Fridays Think Pink and Calling All Sista's Photo Inspiration Color Challenge (which includes candles.) It's hard to see in the photo, but I added a circle of yellow acetate behind the candle flame to create a soft translucent halo.

Stamp a Scene 1

Oh my... as a fairly new blogger, tonight I accidentally deleted all comments from 10-17 to 10-24. My apologies for those of you who posted a comment that is no longer visible. I promise never to try to organize things again!

The current Art Impressions challenge is to Stamp A Scene. So… I pulled out some of my wonderful AI  stamps and got busy. Stamped a few hay bales, barn window, and Willie front and back sets. (I think the barn window is now retired.) Colored them with alcohol inks and fussy cut them out. (Used a silver gel pen to add the hardware on the window shutters.)
Used a ruler, pencil, light brown and tan Tombow markers to create board walls for the inside of the barn. Attached all stamped images to the front of the card, with Willies sweet face peeking over the window frame. On the inside of the card, I upcycled a winter scene from an old Christmas card and attached a sentiment from Beccy's Place Stamps. These kinds of cards always take lots of work, but… when I shared this one with my hubby his eyes grew large as he said, "WOW!" (I think this will go to my MIL and hope she likes it as much as her son did!)

As much as I dislike spiders, they do make nice Halloween cards. Scary, but without blood and gore. And, this card is a good way to use up some of the washi tape that is getting dusty on my shelf. I turned the spider into a Black Widow by adding a big of bling. And… used one of my favorite little digi images from TLC Creation- eeek! (createwithtlc.blogspot.com).

For Linda

Oh my... as a fairly new blogger, tonight I accidentally deleted all comments from 10-17 to 10-24. My apologies for those of you who posted a comment that is no longer visible. I promise never to try to organize things again!

Used a Whimsie Doodles digi and scripture verse printed off on my computer to develop this card to enter into a few challenges.  Will be sending it off to a dear friend who is battling stage 4 breast cancer. In spite of all that she is enduring, she has such amazing faith in her doctors and in God's grace. She is one of my (S)hero's!

Made another card to enter into this month's Christmas Cards All Year Round's challenge that features a brown monochromatic color scheme. Used a sweet digi set from Bugaboo named Reindeer Frames. I stayed with the color restrictions except for a bit of red vellum. Because… well… Rudolph's nose!

My favorite seasons are fall and winter… so I have many stamps and digis for both. Here is a favorite fall digi, called Wryns Leaves from Tiddly Inks. For this card, I colored the image with Spectrum Noir and chalks. The sentiment is a glossy sticker. The inside greeting reads, "Find Happiness in the Littlest of Things."

Fall, Fur and Fun!

Oh my... as a fairly new blogger, tonight I accidentally deleted all comments from 10-17 to 10-24. My apologies for those of you who posted a comment that is no longer visible. I promise never to try to organize things again!

Another House Mouse card this time the little critter is falling gently to earth with the help of a beautiful maple leaf. I cut a square from the card and attached acetate to allow the cloudy sky to show through. Plus, the acetate provided a place for me to attach the fussy cut image securely to the card. Am also entering the card into several other challenges that focus on fall leaves.

Used a new Lawn Fawn stamp and sentiment set to create a sweet winter card. Added a small star cluster stamp and left lots of white space to qualify as CAS for the Less Is More challenge. The images are colored with Spectrum Noir markers and white gel pen. Also am entering it into a challenge that is brand new to me, A Blog Named Hero, that usually focuses on Hero Arts, but also includes Lawn Fawn stamps this month. So fun!

Christmas Cards All Year Round's challenge this month features a monochromatic color scheme focusing on brown. This was a bit more challenging than I thought it would be! Since I had the Lawn Fawn fox set out… I used those stamps again. Finished the card by using a strip of paper lace as a stencil and sponged on some brown ink. (Note, the ink on the scarf looks burgundy in the photo. It actually is a deep reddish brown.

Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge is to feature a dog on your card. I've had this wonderful dog saying in my craft files for many years. I formatted it to fit on a postcard with room along the right side to stamp this adorable PSX Golden lab pup. Don't you just want to scratch his fluffy little chin? And, since the sentiment on the card is uplifting, I am also entering it into the Word Art Wednesday Challenge.

CAS And More

Oh my... as a fairly new blogger, tonight I accidentally deleted all comments from 10-17 to 10-24. My apologies for those of you who posted a comment that is no longer visible. I promise never to try to organize things again!

Found this sweet image at freedeariedollsdigistamps.blogspot.com and decided it would work beautifully for the current Less Is More one layer card star challenge. Kept the coloring simple to meet the CAS requirement, mainly adding yellow to the star,  very find yellow reflection rings around the candle flames, gray shadows, and a touch of color on hair ribbons, holly and their little tongues! (You can see these details in the closeup photo.)
Although the image is fairly large and detailed, the card does include lots of white space so I hope it qualifies as CAS. And, it is one layer (which I discovered is very hard for me to do!)

Have been having fun making cards to enter into AAA cards current challenge called "Inspired by a Movie." Although I am not a big fan on Zombie movies, my hubby and I really enjoyed WWZ. Although I usually wouldn't think of anything related to zombies as being cute… this image and sentiment from Whimsie Doodles just might fit that category! I enjoyed putting all the unused z's from alphabet sticker packages to work, adding some background interest to the card. And, instead of using cardstock for the base, I upcycled an old file folder. I thought it's dull greenish-gray color provided perfect backing for a zombie.

I made the pink lemonade by cutting a small piece of shimmery pink vellum to size for the pitcher and glass. The sentiment is printed on vellum.

Layered Blooms

Oh my... as a fairly new blogger, tonight I accidentally deleted all comments from 10-17 to 10-24. My apologies for those of you who posted a comment that is no longer visible. I promise never to try to organize things again!

This final card for the Simon Says Thinking of You challenge required an assortment of floral stamps from Stampendous. I used them to create a ring of blooms along the edge of a postcard, stamping them a few times before re-inking to add depth. Inked a Hero Arts sentiment stamp with one of the colors of the blooms (Lilac), and stamped it onto a small scrap of paper and then adhered the layers onto dark green textured cardstock. Finished the card with a strip of sheer ribbon. Simple yet striking!

Saw a photo of a black lab in a cone and was reminded of how much our beloved Brittany Spaniel hated to wear this dreaded thing after having some minor surgery. When I found the sentiment on Pinterest I knew that I had to make a card. Googled a free clip art silhouette of a lab, traced it onto black paper and fussy cut it out. Created the cone with vellum and then, after a bit of taping and re-taping to get the right fit, attached it to the poor mutts head. Decided that the card looked a little bare, so reduced the size of the silhouette to make a smaller dog, flipped it, traced, fussy cut and attached it to the card. My husband burst into laughter when I shared this card with him. Poor pups!

A friend that collects House Mouse stamps provided me with some images in a gift package a short time ago. I loved this cute little guy and decided to have him hopping in a pile of leaves for the House Mouse current challenge that focuses on fall. Also entering it into several other challenges with fall or leave themes.  (The sentiment is from a digi set named narcissus from Beccys Place.) Note- The mouse is mounted on a handmade mini-wobble so that he moves a bit. That is why he is within a circle. So fun!

The current CAS challenge at AAA cards is called "Inspired by a Movie." This is my second entry into the challenge. Can you guess which movie it depicts? (I was experimenting with my alcohol ink markers… again. As a result, his "furry face" looks a little odd. I'll perfect this technique soon. Until then, my critters might look like they are molting!!) And his nose is plastered with red glitter so that it... you know... glows!
