myasperations 5-20-23

This month’s Sheepski Designs FB Challenge theme is “Flower Power and I loved welcoming Spring with Andrea’s beautiful Tulip Border digital image. A bit of google research provided me with the color theme for the tulips on my card. They are Pink Passion Tulips, and provide a bright shout of color! An easel card base provides a great way to display the scene (and easel cards are really easy to create. You can find a link to instructions in my supply list.)
I’m entering this card into several challenges including The Butterfly Challenge (I used all 4 of the colors, and 1 theme- Butterflies.)
Supplies:

·   Digi- Sheepski Designs (Tulip Border)

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers, Aquarelle colored pencils and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Easel Card- Instructions found HERE

·   Butterfly Stickers- Hobby Lobby

·   Front Sentiment- DDDoodles Freebie (Oh Happy Day)

·   Inside Sentiment- Eureka Digital Stamp (Day You Were Born) Digi is currently unavailable while Company is moving to a new website. I’ll share the link once it is available!

·   All other items from my stash.

Friends of Sweet November Stamps FB page is celebrating “MerMay” with a fun coloring challenge. My goal was to spend some time every day this month, coloring and creating, and have been successful at that! I finally have some time to start posting them. So, get ready for the tsunami of sparkly beauties headed this way!
This first one features a favorite SNS digi that includes a free sentiment, which is on the front of the card. Also, the photos don’t show it very well, but this card just explodes with layers of glittery bling.
I’m entering this card into several challenges including Park Hopping-My Happy Place (I love the whimsical magic of fairies, so would love to one day add a theme park in the Netherlands The Fairytale Forest at Efteling Park to my bucket list!)
Supplies:

·   Digi and inside sentiment- Sweet November Stamps (Capri with reflection)

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Clouds created with shades of blue decorative chalks, cloud template cut from cardboard scrap, and a makeup sponge.

·   Inside sentiment from my stash of freebies (contact me if you’d like the source)

·   Stickles- Diamonds

·   Glitter papers in assorted colors, plus other items from my stash.

This second card made with an SNS mermaid actually took me some time to create because I made one major blooper. The cute little crab nestled in “Skippers” long shiny locks looks more like a scary alien creature! Every attempt to “fix” it, just made it worse. I finally printed off two images of the little crab, colored and fussy-cut them. One was taped atop the scary alien crab, the other adorns the inside of the card. Yay… card saved!
(Oh… and the tropical background scene is part of a digi set from The Paper Shelter. Most of their digis include a wonderful scene or patterned paper compilation/frame that fits the digi or theme/season. I really like this colorful and festive one! To be able to enter this card into the current Paper Shelter challenge, I added embellishments to the card by layering on torn paper “sand” and touches of bling on the front sentiment.)

Supplies:

·   Digi and inside sentiment- Sweet November Stamps (Skipper)

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Background Scene from The Paper Shelter Digi Set (My Happy Summer Face)

·   Front Sentiment- Sweet November Stamps (Capri with reflection)

·   Inside sentiment from my stash of freebies (contact me if you’d like the source)
