myasperations 4-23-21

It’s Friday and time for the Colour Crazy Challenge. This challenge is an “Anything Goes” but it adds a requirement; the creation needs to include coloring in “any colouring medium you like, onto any project you like, and in any colours you like.” I’ve never outgrown my love for coloring… which is why making cards is stress therapy for me!!
This week's sponsor is All Dressed Up stamps, and I am sharing two DT cards for this challenge. Each card features one of the beautiful images from the digi named Wear With Style. I love that two of these beauties remind me of my sisters! I had  fun matching their personalities with the colors, patterned papers and embellishments that I used on each card. I can’t wait to share the cards and see if they agree with my representations of them. (If not… I’m sure they’ll nag at me a bit as only sisters can. Ha!)
Supplies:
·   Digi- All Dressed Up Stamps (Wear With Style)

The beauty on this first card reminds me of my sister, Carol, who is gorgeous and always looks like she is ready for a fashion shoot (but never believes me when I tell her that!) She usually wears her reddish hair long with flowing curls or pulled up in a twist or braid, so I gave her card a romantic feeling with floral accents and added bling with a few "sequins" drawn on her silver grey clutch with a white gel pen.
Supplies:
·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·   Patterned paper, flowers and all other items from my stash.

My other sister, Judi, is a bit more trendy in style, comfortable in jeans and a baggy sweater… often accessorized with funky jewelry or an edgy jacket or purse. For this card, I sketched some “fringe” on her purse and added some texture to the background with a scrap of vinyl wallpaper that looks like hand-tooled leather. I decided to add some metal to the card with staples (the desk kind!) on the corners and down the sides. So fun!

Supplies:
·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·   Herringbone Patterned paper, wallpaper scrap and all other items from my stash.

My final card this posting is a
shape card for one of my tea-loving friends. I used a favorite old wood-mount stamp and a mug template I found on Pinterest. I wanted the two little bear buddies to look really fuzzy, so I first colored them with chalks then added texture with a few markers and a blender pen. The sentiment on the back of the card is from my stash. It seemed perfect for this season of COVID isolation.  I sure miss coffee/tea dates with my friends!
I’m entering this creation into several challenges including STAMPlorations- Theme & Photo Prompt-Stamps and Curves (I used stamps, created lots of curves with the shape, and feature a beverage),  and Double D’s April Showers (Anything with water. The sentiment on the back of my mug card even mentions heating up the water!)
Supplies:

·   Image- Embossing Arts Rubber Stamp (Company no longer in business)

·   Colored with Decorative chalks, Spectrum Noir Classique markers and blender, and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Front Sentiment is part of the rubber stamp

·   Mug Template- Freebie from Scrapbook & Cards magazine found HERE

·   Inside/back Sentiment- copied from a card I received many years ago. (Source unknown)

·   Puffy Heart Stickers- Sticko’s from WalMart (113 assorted puffy hearts for just 99 cents!)

·   All other items from my stash.
