Misc Fun

Used a Bugaboo digi named "Three Snowmen" to make this card for the current Bugaboo Stella Says Sketch Challenge. Added a diecut "Hello" that I got in a packet of scrapbook embellishments from JoAnns and misc bling.

Used a new digi that was available through a Christmas giveaway at Kit and Clowder's  FB page. It is a sweet image from The Paper Shelter named "New Year" that I colored with Spectrum Noir markers, using a Spectrum Noir Gold Sparkle Glitter pen  on the bell. You can't really see it in the close-up photo, but this pen added a rich metal looking patina to the bell. I made a Double- Z fold card [instructions found here] that I flipped upside down so that, when the card is standing up, the little cutie looks like she really is swinging on the bell! SO fun.  Used a star stencil to sketch the star in yellow vellum and glitter paper, then fuzzy cut and attached them. Am entering the card into several challenges that involved New Year or new things.

The new Butterfly Challenges focuses on the letter "I".  My card for this challenge, which is a favorite of mine, is made with a postcard that I was given at a church retreat last summer. Was fun to color it with Spectrum Noir and white gel pen highlights. The card includes the color Imperial Purple (in the flowers and book bindings) and the theme Invitation [the scripture verse is the invitation- If we walk with the wise we will become wise.]

My final card for this post was made for two cards with unique requirements. The first, Mod Squad Challenge, requires "the use of at least 3 different patterned papers on your project." The tag on my card, which was from a card candy swap last year, includes three patterns- stripes, words, and polka dots. The other challenge is totally new to me and I think I'm going to become a regular. It is called the Do-Al(l) Challenge and currently requires that we show something twice on a project. This card includes two items that are red and white striped, the paper and the twine. The front and inside sentiments are freebies from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. You can find them here [Thinking of You] and here [Birthday Blessings

  11. These cards are all wonderful. So glad you participated in our Challenge and we hope you'll join us again. Want to leave your with an inspiration from the Bible in Isaiah 55:6-7 which says, "Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.
Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon." Have a wonderful week.
