Hello 2019

For this week's challenge at QKR Stampede, I made a card using a QKR digi image (Q-digi14401 Nighttime Bear) and a Eureka sentiment (ES-digi35602 Another Year) Both of these great digis are new to me… and provided a great way to celebrate the New Year. You can find both at stamponit.net.
I colored the cute bear with Spectrum Noir markers and white gel pen. Fussy-cut him, then layered him onto the sentiment.  Next punched a circle from a vellum scrap, colored the edge with a yellow marker, slid it behind the candle and taped it in place. Was going to attach the bear and sentiment onto the snowy background paper, but decided to add a layer of vellum so that the little bear stood out more boldly.  The final touch was adding a few stars cut from glitter paper.
The inside sentiment was cut from the bottom of the sentiment on the front of the card. [I've added a photo of the digi image so that you can see the entire sentiment.]
PS Stop on by the QKR Stampede where the weekly challenges are always Anything Goes and prizes are awarded.

A recent challenge at the wecraftcard Forum was to create card bases with 12x12 or 6x6 sheets of patterned paper.  I used a 6x6 paper pad from Echo Park that I won in a recent challenge at SumMoreFun to make five A2 card bases. I've shared a few of them, here are two more.

The first features a freebie named "Olaf Build A Snowman Printable" that you can find here
I thought that Olaf would like having the snowman friends on the patterned paper. The sentiments on the front and inside are both computer generated.

The second card includes one of the lighter print patterns from the 6x6 paper pad. This one looks like ivory linen and is beautiful when paired with brushed gold cardstock. I wanted to use the decorated card to make another card for the "No time like the presents" challenge at Jingle Belles so dug through my stash and found another used Christmas gift tag. I love upcycling, so this challenge is a great one for me. This tag is a cute little shaker card and the pretty blue diecut dissecting the card is from a packet of adhesive borders that I picked up at Hobby Lobby's grand opening in a nearby community. [My credit card took a little hit on that road trip.] The sentiment is from a Bugaboo set named "Snowman Block Set."
