Love CardsX3

The love sentiment on this card is the first die I ever bought. It's from an SU set. A friend gave me a few postcard-sized die cuts to play with and it was fun to use on this card. Developed the little "you" on my printer to finish it off. I like the elegant simplicity of the finished card.

I recently discovered an intriguing challenge. Called "Twofer Card Challenge" the goal is to create the exact same stamp to make two distinctly different designs for two different occasions. I've fallen in love with this sweet little bear from Little Scraps of Heaven. For this challenge, I made a Valentine's card and a card that I'll use as a Get Well or Thinking of You card (with all the bugs going around right now, am thinking it will be a Get Well Card.) The digi sentiment "Love Warms Your Heart" is from createwithtlc.blogspot.com

My final card is this posting is a fun Valentine creation. I developed the template for the I[heart]U through trial and error. Once I had it figured out, I cut the template from marbled grey cardstock, added patterned pink background papers and scraps of lace and ribbon. The sentiment on the front of the card is printed off on my computer, and the inside sentiment is a freebie from desertdiva-hannelie.blogspot.com. But the star of the card is that sweet little bunny from Craftin Desert Diva. The original one is holding an Easter egg. I'm sure I'll use that image within the next month. For now, I swapped out the egg with a paper pieced Valentine. I wanted to do something special for his little fluffy tail. Then I remembered that I had used a whole package of Velcro dots when putting a display board together at the office, and couldn't throw away the tufted halves of those Velcro dots! Well, with just a few little snips, they make perfect bunny tails! (I really do save everything!!) I made the card to reflect the Craftin' Desert Diva's February Mood Board, but it also fits into a few other Valentine challenges and The Paper Shelter challenge "Decorate It" (because this card does have many embellies!)
