Beautiful Hope

I absolutely adore this image named Hope from The Paper Shelter. The delicate details are amazing! I'm entering the card into their current challenge, "Decorate It" so added a doily, the background from the digi set, colored vellum, gold photo corners, and rhinestones on the star and in her hair. I've collected sentiments for many years. Not sure where this one is from, but have had it in my files for at least a decade. I'm adding it to this card because I made it for my sister, Carol, who was just diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. She is currently undergoing chemo, which will be followed by a bone marrow transplant and one month in isolation at Mayo Clinic in MN. Carol is so very precious to me, and I think she will love the sentiment and image on this card.  (Am entering the card into several other challenges including a color challenge, grunge challenge (perfect font for that!), and one that requires a bit of sparkle.)

The current butterfly challenge involves the letter P for color and theme. My card includes Pink and Patterned Paper. The wonderful charcoal paper that has a die cut center was from a packet I found on clearance at JoAnnes. It has a luscious sheen to it. And I used the center die-cut on the inside of the card. Have had the little butterfly charm for some time. Was fun to put it to such beautiful use!  The sentiments (front and inside of the card) are both freebies from createwithtlc.blogspot.com

This is a recent win from Di's Digi stamps. It's named Kitty in Cups. Isn't that furry little face adorable? If I had a little kitten I'd want to stay home and play with it all day. And… well drink coffee. Hence, the sentiment!  I added a closeup so that you could see all of the wonderful details that artist Diane Carubia put into the image.
