A Trio of Seasons

Right now, as winter surrounds me, I love the hint of Spring this sweet sketch that artist Beccy Muir created. (It's here… and it's free! beccysplace.blogspot.ca/2012/02/do-over.html) I made the pocket with a scrap of denim background paper plus a white gel pen. The little sentiment tag is from Lili of the Valley. The delicate lace strip and muted background paper add a wonderful vintage feeling to the card.

Moving from Spring into summer, I look forward to enjoying a sweet and tangy glass of lemonade on the front patio. Doesn't that sound wonderful? (It sure does to me. Right now I am wearing two pairs of wool socks in order to feel my toes!) The images in Power Poppy's "Tea In The Garden Stamp Set" speak summer to me.  Made this card for the current Power Poppy challenge which requires the use of a sketch this month from this website- www.pagemaps.com/cardmapsI'm also entering the card into the Double D's current challenge "Kitchen is the Heart of the Home" mood board. My inspiration is the yellow checked apron and the glass pitchers.

My final posting tonight is a reminder that winter still is in full swing. But it does have a positive side… snow people! I think I'll just sit inside and enjoy them through the window… in my wool socks… and enjoying a mug of steaming hot chocolate. Life is good!
(The sentiment is from the set "Seasonal Windows" from Beccy's Place and the snowman is a public domain image from www.clipartpal.com/clipart_pd/holiday/christmas/christmasscenes_11127.html and the )

  4. I LOVE the little pocket card Kathy, it's gorgeous! It's such a clever idea to use denim-look paper to create a jeans pocket. The white flowers looks great contrasted with the dark blue, and the lace adds a lovely feminine touch.
Pink and yellow is a fabulous colour combination... definitely summery. I agree that a cold glass of lemonade out on the front veranda is a wonderful way to relax on a summer day. I have a veranda, and it's summer, alas, the lemonade is nowhere to be seen. Great card!
Your third card for this post is gorgeous, I love snow people! I really like the way you've positioned him just outside the window so he can see what's going on inside. I like the way you've done the frame, the wood grain looks great.
Another fabulous collection of cards Kathy.
    Cheers,
    Beccy
