The Holiday Fun Begins!

This card was inspired by one created by the talented Jessica Frost-Ballas at allthesparkle.com. Used an SU die, made the holly leaves with paper scraps and a sharpie pen, the berries are red rhinestones.  Entering into several challenges, including Bugaboo Bingo (top row, except used red rhinestones instead of pearls… which I can't find on my desk right now!)

This is Jessica's card that inspired me-

The current Art Impressions challenge is named "Funny and Punny."  I used a fun AI image featuring Bernadette (the beauty holding the cake. I love that even her name is punny!!) I printed the sentiment on my computer. It reads, "It's your birthday? For goodness cake…" The inside reads, " … that's reason to celebrate!"

The current Calling all Sista's color challenge inspired this card. I used the Hero Arts Goldfish clear "color layering" stamp set. I popped the goldfish up with foam tape, plus added a few pearls. The sentiment, from the set, is stamped with orange ink on vellum.

I've always liked making tags. Either to use on gifts or to attach to the front of a card. Decided to go with a non-trad color scheme on this one, mainly because I wanted to use the beautiful teal bling! The sweet little happy birthday tag is from LOTV "Sentiment Tags" digi set. I hand-lettered "Jesus" on a blank tag to finish the greeting.

  6. Wonderful cards. I really love the top card, however the two white 'merry' words cover up the clear, clean, uncluttered and unembellished space that we love to see in CAS designs at Less is More. Nevertheless that is a gorgeous card xx

  7. Love your work Kathy, well done on the fish card been eyeing those images off for while now but own too many neglected stamps...
Thanks for popping across and joining my blog and leaving some encouragement on the Snippets post, I will link ver next post all being well amd welcome you.
Re cardboard.. it’s not just cereal boxes, I used and yoghurt pack of four outside covering with brushos on lates post if you check it out, also mesli bar boxes have light packaging. I think you could get away with some colours ie grey and beige but not trialled it yet. I rarely eat cereal so not many boxes and current cereal doesn’t have white or cream backing either.
Just ask folks ie family to keep eye out for you .. at Christmas with packaging eg round lots of gifts there will be white card.
The yogurt one with brushos was really interesting as it was so textured prob from glue used, you can see it in photo on Wed post.

    Thanks for sharing your inspiration!
